Michael Howard is a landscape architect and lecturer in landscape architecture in the School of Architecture and Design at RMIT University. Michael started as a horticulturist, studying at Burnley and buying for nurseries with people like Paul Bangay and Jenny Walker who were accommodating for the upper-end of the domestic market. He then returned to study Landscape architecture and design at RMIT University as a mature aged student and went on to work with John Patrick of Gardening Australia and worked for a company called Out of the Blue that do contemporary swimming pools.Stephen Crafti speaks to Michael Howard about the history of Landscape Gardening and the relationship between Architecture design and the landscape.
