Michael is a Hero

This week, we’re joined by Michael—a physical therapist, proud gay Mexican-Chinese man, and the human embodiment of golden retriever energy. Born in L.A. and raised in Rosarito, he shares what it was like growing up between cultures, navigating identity, grief, and the moment his sister knew he was gay before he did. We talk stereotypes, softness, family, and how helping others became his purpose—first in RPG games, then in real life at Children’s Hospital. It’s about healing, joy, and learning to love all parts of yourself.
