Michael McCoy SHARES 4 years of sobriety with us and explains how Alcohol and Drugs helped him to feel comfortable during his early days of partying in High School. His College years were fueled with alcohol and drugs. Mike had a great deal of fun for many years until his addictions started to rage out of control. The wheels started to fall off as his adult years started wiz by. Mike worked as an executive for several professional sports teams and also worked in commercial real estate for many years. He got sober at 54 years old and for most of his life he saw nothing wrong with his level of Alcohol intake. Denial is a powerful adversary when it comes to getting sober. Mike made it into recovery after getting battered by addiction and a couple failed suicide attempts. His sober life is based on his faith in his Higher Power and his sober friends in Alcoholics Anonymous. Humility and Grace are the foundation of his life as he reaches out to help others. Michael founded CHEF TO THE SHELTERS and is working to grow that program to bless as many people as possible.
