Michael Read: SkyBase CEO on new AI technology allowing pilots to fight fires remotely

A game changer for aerial firefighting is being developed by a New Zealand company. Artificial intelligence developed by aviation tech company SkyBase would allow pilots to guide the plane from the ground to tackle dangerous bush fires. SkyBase CEO Michael Read says it would enable planes to fly at night and in poor visibility.
