Michael Reddell: Former RBNZ economist says the Official Cash Rate may not be able to be halted for long

A former Reserve Bank economist says the Official Cash Rate may not be able to be halted for long. The central bank will give its latest update today, with economists predicting it will stay at 5.5 percent. At its last review the bank expected it to remain at a restrictive level for some time.
