Since turning his attention to screen, Michael has played roles in 'Hacksaw Ridge', 'The Luminaries', and 'The Nightingale'. In 2019, Michael was nominated for an AFI/ACCTA Award for Best Supporting Actor for his work in 'The Nightingale'.
