Michael Sheen Exposes Toxic Secrets in Wales | Belfast News

Actor Michael Sheen stunned Parliament with revelations from a gripping documentary exposing decades of toxic chemical dumping in Wales. After undergoing blood tests that revealed 82 different chemicals in his system, Sheen shared how he’d personally reached out to the First Minister for urgent dialogue — only to be denied. The film, featuring interviews with a whistleblower (who passed before filming), affected locals, and scientists, uncovered claims of thousands of tonnes of PCBs dumped across Wales and north-west England. Raised in South Wales, Sheen called it a personal betrayal that communities were targeted because they were deemed powerless to resist. Alongside investigative journalists, he pushed for accountability, turning his own body into a symbol of the silent crisis affecting generations.
