Michael Stuhlbarg

If there's one scene from a feature film released in 2017 that should go into a time capsule for future actors showing how it's done, it might as well be Michael Stuhlbarg's monologue that comes near the end of "Call Me By Your Name". To those who know Stuhlbarg's diverse resume it shouldn't be much of a surprise. This is an actor who can do just about anything.  He's been "Hamlet" on the stage and led a brilliant Coen brothers film ("A Serious Man") but he's also carved out a career as an unparalleled character actor playing roles big and small for the likes of Martin Scorsese and Steven Spielberg. The only common denominator in his performances seems to be excellence.
