Michele Talks with Abbotsford Mayor Henry Braun

This last episode of the Cummins Group Real Estate Show features Abbotsford's Mayor, Henry Braun. Abbotsford is the 5th largest city in BC and has ranked anywhere from 1st to the 3rd best place to invest in BC and even Western Canada. In this exciting interview, Mayor Braun shares how he is constantly trying to make Abbotsford the kind of place that others aspire to be; a role model of sorts to other cities. There is plenty in Abbotsford to be excited about, including the International Airport, Historic Downtown Abbotsford and Mill Lake. Henry Braun focussed his first term as Mayor on getting the financial situation of the city on track and creating a plan to deal with the city's current issues and future infrastructure. Great strides have been made to this end which shows itself in having the lowest tax increase of any jurisdiction. Braun now turns his attention to the issue of Quality of Life as he considers the future plans set forth in the new OCP. This includes Parks & Rec., Mill Lake, preserving agricultural land and working on affordability. It also includes creating space and working with businesses to create jobs so that the residents of Abbotsford can continue to work here. Mayor Henry Braun is working on plans that will benefit the residents of Abbotsford beyond his years. He's helping build a city that his children and grandchildren will be able to enjoy!
