Michelle Lynch - An Inspiring Journey from Pharmacist to CEO

Michelle Lynch is the Chief Executive Officer for Ramsay Pharmacy and Psychology Group, part of Ramsay Health Care, the largest private healthcare company in Australia. Her accountabilities and leadership oversee the operations of the pharmacy departments within the Ramsay private hospital network, the franchisor services supporting the franchise network of Ramsay community pharmacies and Ramsay psychology clinics caring for clients in the community. She holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy from Monash University and maintains her registration as a pharmacist. Michelle has extensive experience and expertise in health leadership and operations in the private hospital sector, outpatient and community setting and integrated health services in the primary and acute health setting. She is passionate about the pivotal role pharmacists and allied health can play in the multidisciplinary healthcare team combined with the use of technology, to deliver best health outcomes to patients. Michelle has also contributed to the wider pharmacy profession as a Director of The Pharmaceutical Society of Australia (PSA) for over ten years and was the most recent past National Vice-President. During her tenure at PSA, she was the Chair of the PSA Finance Audit and Risk Management Committee. She has previously held positions on the editorial board of the Australian Pharmaceutical Formulary and the clinical board of the South-Eastern Melbourne Primary Health Network.
