Michigan Non-profits Work To Educate Citizens on Redistricting

Craig's guest is Mariana Martinez of the Michigan Non Profit Association.   The group annouced it is working with it's member agencies  to achieve fair and impartial legislative district maps for Michigan.   The MNA says it is especially important that  those who have been historically underrepresented in Michigan’s political processes have a way of participating in the process of redrawing the districts.  Martinez says “We are mobilizing nonprofits, to transparently achieve fair and impartial maps for Michigan, specifically to promote racial equity so that communities of color have a voice and participate in important decision-making processes that happen at the local, state, and federal levels,”
