Michigan Senate passes bill to help living organ donors

New legislation aims to break down barriers for living organ donors in Michigan.Gift of Life Michigan says 15% of organ donors donate while alive. The Michigan Senate passed a bill 34-1 that will give employers a tax credit covering 100% of wages paid to living organ donors, allowing them to take paid time off the the procedure. Gift of Life Michigan's Vice President of Communications Patrick Wells O'Brien said this is just the latest step forward to making organ donation accessible. He spoke with WWJ's Christina McDaniel.
