Michigan State vs Central Michigan Preview + Prediction | College Football 2023

On Friday night at 7:00 PM ET, the Central Michigan Chippewas will travel to East Lansing to play the Michigan State Spartans. Both programs are coming off of a down year, with Central Michigan Football earning a 4-8 record last year and Michigan State Football clawing its way to 5-7 in 2022. Entering 2023, this game could change the course of the coaching staff and roster of both of these teams. Each head coach is facing considerable pressure after not reaching a bowl game last year, and many College Football fans view the Spartans particularly as a program on the decline. Central Michigan lost running back Lew Nichols to the NFL, but they return cornerback Donte Kent, who had 15 passes defended last season. Michigan State returns elite defensive players in defensive tackle Simeon Barrow Jr. and linebacker Jacoby Windmon. Mel Tucker also returns a veteran offensive line, star tight end Maliq Carr, and underrated wide receiver Tre Mosley on offense.
