Michigan vs East Carolina Reaction + Analysis

Without their head coach, Jim Harbaugh, and offensive coordinator, Sherrone Moore, the Michigan Football team beat East Carolina 30-3 on Saturday afternoon. Michigan Quarterback JJ McCarthy played a phenomenal game, completing 26 out of his 30 pass attempts and throwing for 280 yards and 3 touchdowns. McCarthy connected with wide receiver Roman Wilson three times for all 3 touchdowns, and wide receiver Cornelius Johnson and tight end Colston Loveland were also in on the exciting action which was Michigan's passing attack. Wolverine running backs Blake Corum and Donovan Edwards only combined for 22 carries, but I expect that to change when Moore and Harbaugh return to manage the offense. Jesse Minter did a great job managing the game and also calling plays on defense, with Michigan nearly shutting out East Carolina and forcing an interception. East Carolina football is a program on the rise, and I think Mike Houston and his roster put up a good fight in Ann Arbor. There should not be much analysis taken from this game because of the absence of key coaches and players, but my reaction to this is that I am happy Sherrone Moore will be back against UNLV.
