However, nothing is guaranteed on a college football Saturday and the Wolverines should come prepared for Illinois and their solid, efficient, trench-play-focused style of football. Both Michigan and Illinois have Top 5 scoring defenses (Michigan is No.1 with 11.2 PPG and Illinois is No.3 with 12.5 PPG), but Michigan has the No.5 scoring offense (41.4 PPG) while Illinois has the No.88 scoring offense (24.7 PPG). Both also have RBs that place in the Top 3 for total rushing yards nationally and these team's OLs are finalists for the Joe Moore Award. These two Big Ten teams play a similar style of football, with Michigan having far more talent and being miles ahead in offensive production.
