Michigan vs Minnesota Preview + Prediction | College Football 2023

I expect this game to be an undefeated matchup in the preseason. While Jim Harbaugh and Michigan Football have fulfilled my end of the bargain, along with Ohio State and Penn State, the remainder of the Big Ten, especially Minnesota Football, has fallen short of my expectations. Minnesota is 3-2 right now, and despite Potential Power being high on the Gophers, the on-field results are anything but impressive. Outside of running back Darius Taylor and wide receiver Daniel Jackson, Minnesota's offense has been inconsistent in the red zone and straight-up bad when it comes to the passing attack. The defense is also allowing 361.4 yards per game and has allowed 72 combined points in their past two games against Northwestern and Louisiana. Michigan meanwhile, commands the nation's best defense, and running back Blake Corum already has 9 rushing touchdowns on the season. Michigan's defense is 1st in points allowed per game and the team is 7th in points per play margin. My prediction for this game is that Michigan's offense dominates a disappointing Golden Gopher defense. I expect Joe Rossi to try and stack the box to defend the run, which means I think JJ McCarthy will have a big day through the air. Michigan Football wins 49-10!
