Michigan dominated Minnesota 52-10 on Saturday night. The biggest difference between the two teams was their play on defense and at the quarterback position. Michigan's JJ McCarthy was 14/20 for 219 yards and 1 touchdown through the air. He also had 2 rushing touchdowns and several impressive scrambles. Meanwhile, Minnesota's Athan Kaliakmanis was 5-15 for 52 yards, 1 touchdown, and 2 interceptions. PJ Fleck's Golden Gophers were able to run the football for over 100 yards, but the Wolverines feated on Kaliakmanis' mistakes. Michigan Football again had a dominant performance in Big Ten play, and I think the Wolverines are the best team in College Football. In analyzing College Football's 2023 season, I can say with confidence Michigan is one of the most dominant teams in the land. However, we must temper our reactions as Michigan Football has yet to play an opponent who can reasonably punch back. Minnesota is a solid football team with a good head coach in PJ Fleck. The Golden Gophers have talent limitations, but they are great at the lines of scrimmage, and I am confident they can compete for the Big Ten West Title.
