Michigan's Run Game in Crisis | Michigan Wolverines Football News

Michigan’s once-potent run game stumbled in their season opener, averaging just over four yards per carry and producing only one rushing touchdown — a quarterback sneak. Advanced stats confirm the issue: few missed tackles, minimal long runs (mostly from QB), and ineffective middle runs. With Oklahoma looming — boasting a dominant defensive performance in their opener — Michigan’s ability to fix its ground game could mean the difference between victory and defeat.
