It took me an entire year to pare down life’s clutter so that every hat I wear, every tool I need, could fit neatly into this little rolling shell of adventure.But this isn’t just about the car—it’s about the road ahead. On the 31st, Rolling Turtle and I will be heading toward Gallatin Gateway, Montana, to visit none other than my longtime mentor and dear friend, the one and only Victor Wooten. Yes, that Victor Wooten\, the best bass player in the world.Back in February, I had the joy of witnessing him and his brothers weave two straight hours of music so breathtaking it felt like the universe itself was humming along. Four brothers, over fifty years of playing together, each a master of their craft… and when they take the stage, their instruments don’t just play—they become part of their very being.
