Microsoft is providing IT training to thousands of transitioning veterans
from Connecting Vets
One of the nation's biggest computer companies is offering an intensive 18-week computer training program to military people preparing to leave active duty. Taught by university instructors on military bases, the Microsoft Software and Systems Academy prepares students -- even those with no prior experience in the field -- with basic qualifications in server, cloud, database and business adminstration -- as well as cloud application development and cyber security. Chas Henry of CBS Eye on Veterans talks with retired Marine Major General Chris Cortez, who oversees the program, and Army veteran Edgar Sanchez, an MSSA graduate.
