The Middle East is a tinderbox, with conflicts across Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Iran, and Israel, any of which could spark a larger war. Yemen, where Iranian-backed Houthis control much of the population and are attacking Red Sea shipping and Israel, is a key flashpoint.
