10. Midnight Sun Chapters 6 & 7

In which Bethanie and Samantha discuss Chapters 6 & 7 of Midnight Sun by Stephenie Meyer.Chapter 6: “Blood Type”Edward spies on Bella during the day and is surprised to see that she is a clumsy person. At lunch, Edward sits by himself and waits for Bella, which angers Rosalie and confuses Emmett and Jasper. Alice still wants to speak with Bella, but Edward tells her to wait. When Bella arrives, Edward beckons her over. He tells Bella that while he is “going to hell,” he might as well just embrace talking to her (119). Chapter 7: “Melody”While waiting to pick his siblings up from school, Edward mulls over whether Bella is actually attracted to him. He is desperate to be a normal human so he can love Bella without hurting her, although he has little experience with love. After he takes his family home, Edward plays the piano. This pleases Esme, his adopted mother, since she has not heard Edward play in a while.
