The case took a turn when Carly's defense claimed she suffered from mental disorders and had a change in medication before the incident. Despite these claims, the prosecution argued that mental illness does not justify taking a life.Carly, now 15, faces multiple charges and is being evaluated to determine if she is competent to stand trial. The court has decided to keep her in adult detention with a $1 million bond.
