Midwinter toast

W/C 16th December 2024The biggest problem I had trying to replicate my Chrissy Mix playlist on Spotify came literally at the start of the process. Since my very crack at that particular selection, the first track had always been Gabriels Message by Marillion. No ifs, no buts, no negotiations.Of course that particular version started out life as a fan club only release, and still to this day is not available on Spotify. So I had to find an alternative, atmospheric opener and whilst I love Sol Invictus by TG, it just isn't quite the same. I have become used to that as the start point.Of course Midwinter Toast which is the second track on the seminal Strange Communion album isn't actually on my Chrissy Mix but as this weeks TFM goes live on the Midwinter solstice it felt like a good way to include this track as well.Stay safe.Stacey & Nat stare-offGwen's Omelette Recipe
