Iniquity (Sin) - Sin is a major enemy of loving God. Matthew 24:12 warns that because iniquity will be rampant, the love of many will grow cold. We must be cautious not to allow sin to turn our hearts away from God.2. Pleasure - 2 Timothy 3:4 speaks of those who are "lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God." Loving the pleasures of this world can dull our desire and passion for God.3. Worldliness - 1 John 2:15 tells us not to love the world or the things in it, for if we do, the love of the Father is not in us. We are called to choose God's ways over worldly temptations and distractions.4. Yourself (The Flesh) - Our greatest enemy can sometimes be ourselves. Our flesh often fights against our spirit, tempting us to pursue comfort and sin over obedience to God. Galatians 5:17 describes this struggle as a battle between the flesh and the spirit.These are the foundational truths that we must hold onto as we build a strong and unshakeable love for God.
