Target Audience             This activity is targeted toward all physician providers. Statement of Need Data indicates that approximately 12 percent of Americans suffer from migraine headaches. Migraines are more common in women than men, with a three to one ratio.  Additionally, a migraine is one of the top reasons that patients visit their physician. Therefore, providers should be current on recognizing the symptoms of migraines as well as how to treat migraines or when to refer to a neurologist.
