Fran - white water rafting - Des Cheutes river in Oregon .. and who do you think fell out of the boat .. it was not my 80yr old grandmother. 7. Oregon dunes .. Mom got lost and was rescued by some biker dudes .. took the girls and then cane finally came back for us . walked and walked and walked and got lost ... all while grandpa was talking to daughter Linda about black holes for four hours. 8. Fran - did not keep many childhood friends into adulthood .. one friend .. Roxy .. 1-8 grade school, 9th jr high & 10th, 11th & 12th in a smaller high school . But lived on a farm and worked in the farm on weekends .. and helped erase fingerprints with cucumbers ... Corn gave us a stiff face from all the starch .. stiff face with no fingerprints .. great for being criminals. 9. Mom - kids made an assembly line for planting seeds on the farm .. one, two, three, four, five . And done! 10. Mike - social media makes it much easier now to stay in touch. I stay in touch with EGV folks from HS through “rob post band”. 11. Mike got mom a MacBook. cell phone, FB page and stays in touch with family and student teachers through social media .. Nancy Legg - Mom’s former teacher friend .. writes great holiday cards . But last year told us her son actually writes the letters .. 12. Fran - how do you keep busy at 79 l.. way back in 2002 daughter moved in with three kids . Ryan, Nick & Alyssa . For five years .. Fran took Alyssa to auditions on trains .. actors need to be available for auditions at a moments notice .. Fran is in two book clubs used to keep Mom busy . Mom loves to read .. we will post moms list of books .. for all to enjoy .. 13. Mike had to get Fran another paper because mom needs to read the daily herald everyday and do the crossword puzzle. 14. Mom - writes notes to folks for holidays .. mikes favorite store is dollar store . 2/$1 15. Mom watches TV, shows about Alaska, westerns, news, nhk network & cooking shows are great! 16. Mom reads reads reads .. National Geographic, Smithsonium & vanity fair 17. Mom suggests keeping a journal of get a hobby . Mom worked in an art studio 18. Mom - plant a garden .. go for a walk.
