First off ... clarification .. referred to father DonQuizote... Sancho Pancho ... Kids are going back to school ... let’s talk about it for a bit. Fran: it’s not an easy decision ... Younger do better in school .. older students can go remotely much better. Mike: where will Kids eat? Mom: ate in classroom. Teachers with small kids at home can be tough. Mike: Linda & Lisa are dressed like martians in the dental field. School teachers can’t do that can they? 1. What bit of advice did you receive that you referred to the most in your life? Fran: my mom said be a lady .. dad said nothing ventured nothing gained ...Mom said she sounded like Deanna Durbin .. sang in a band and roller skating shows with a match in my mouth ... and lit it on the ground. Sang with Carl Guttman’s band and he asked me to join a country western band .. begin the begine, Helen ??? songs .. I sang and yodeled ... but I said no ... I was not interested in singing country western music ... it I got to chicago and was so excited .. wore a hat & gloves .. and people whistled and it was flattering ... I can’t go to chicago it’s the Windy City .. but I went and was amazed .. worked at AB Sulka at the Willaby tower building ... met gangsters ... where Tippy was blindfolded and taken to measure a gangster for clothes ... lived in a girls club .. Mary Moriarity.. maid of honor at wedding ... near Rodgers Park or Northshore of Evanston .. many unique ways to work on wardrobe .. went to wedding bought a blue dress at peck n peck and colored my hat with blue water colds and it rained! On the CTA bus painted shoes red with nail polish ... sat by the heater ... then click click click ... pop pop pop .. walked out with polka dot shoes ... brother shot pheasant .. and fixed up a hat with silk.. and friends were starring at my hat .. it was moving ... never wore that hat again ... nothing ventured nothing gained. 2. Mike: As an engineer, what was the biggest spark you ever saw? I bought a motorcycle to ride in college ... and passed on the right truck turned the corner .. an I hit the truck .. messed up bike .. bought a new black lacked handle bar ... and did not properly ground the switch to the frame .. went to gas station .. turned off motor and got the shock of my life ... eyes looked like fried eggs .. killed the motor .. almost died! Sold the bike .. Mom: intervened ,. Mike sell that bike! 3. What advise do you receive that helped your life? Oops! Already asked this question. ok ok What was the happiest day of your life? Fran: The birth of my first child .... it was a miracle! On expecting another child ... how could I love another child ... just got bigger love! Maybe wedding? Graduation? Driving in New Jersey mom .. really was happy ... good times. . Singing at an auditorium .. microphone was going down ... and Ai was going down ... someone ran out to put the mic back up .. and I was sooo happy. In New Jersey ... all the 103 Italian relatives ... women talked about child bearing ... mom worked in the garden with the men .. played bocce ball ... learned much later that was their glory women ... Mike: New Jersey ... Ream puffs ... ministronie, nasty cat ... black and white tv . .. all relatives expected us to stop by Uncle Mauroo Sangiovanni gave us some straw mushrooms and we dropped the jars at the airport .. dad was devistated! 4. What did you cook? Fran: not much, only German food, white sauces ... dad likes only Italian .. .with tomatoes ... on maple lane I remember waking up to garlic simmering in the pot with the eco bones and gravy we cooked all day ... on Northampton .. mom made us work in the yard before going out to play .. we would go in to stir the gravy .. and comeback out with a red ring around our mouth because we were eating meatballs .... then when we ate dinner ... no more meat balls! 5. Next time ... wanted to talk about ... something ... add next time
