Mike and Fran Unrehearsed - Episode 26

1. 26th show and moms BDay is coming up on Jan 26th .. 1/26/27 woohoo! 2. Joe da plumber and Wendy Lalli 3. Mom - been reading about teachers going back to work .. 147 didn’t go back to school .. mom has mixed feelings about going back to school .. but in a long run .. it’s the teachers job to teach the children. Iwould must likely go in 。it’s my duty. 4. Mike - college students were complaining about not getting all they are paying for over a zoom classroom .. 5. Mike - don’t parents have new respect for teachers? Mom, absolutely .. the kids want to be back .. it’s important for children to be in school 6. Mike - it’s difficult to play in a band on zoom .. we will find out in the next few weeks. I’m teaching my ESL class on Tuesday’s .. I lost a few students .. One student needed to make lunch for her daughter. I’ve been helping David, my Korean student, with interviewing for a truck driver job .. butt I do want to be teaching more English .. so I need to start opening the book more. We will go over what they did over the week and put it on the whiteboard. But today we had all three students! 7. Mike- Did some mock trials this week as a backup. I played two cops who had to be on trial about their shooting at a person who had a gun and was firing it in an alley. 8. I was wearing my black button down shirt and dark tie. I was dressed as a cop today. I had a new attitude in class today calling out students to participate. We had a fun class today. 9. In the book we talked about descriptions for different countries. 10. We learned about Japan, Korea, Beijing and Iran. In Korea they have two New Years. No China town New years for Helen this year .. too much violence. One year Helen made shaved pig heart for an Entre .. very interesting . 11. Mom - Asian people are very respectful 12. Mike - started to feel guilty about not opening up the book in every class, especially for David who drives for Uber. 13. What person did you admire when you were young? Mom - Franklin Roosevelt “my friends” , his wife too. Eleanor. Robert Redford .. dreamt of a plane crash with Robert Redford .. where I had hearts above my head .. and he had my arm . He wanted to eat me! 14. Robert Redford he as the sane BDay as me Jan 26th . Kathryn Hepburn “Calla Lillie’s 15. Also likes Jimmy Carter . .. such a good man . He 16. Mike - John F. Kennedy .. was one of first memories .. then later i was a Dan of Bruce Lee . Then Brandon Lee was up and coming and then also died .. very sad .. 17. Cling Eastwood j also liked slot .. David Letterman I miss as well .. who actually interviewed the guest .. 18. George Clooney now has Twins and is having another child ..who would have thought it. 19. Mom - Michael was stopped in the airport once with a Rambo knife on his carry on .. as a big fan of Sylvester Stallone .. too funny, he forgot he had it with him. 20. Mom - let’s hope next Wednesday goes on without a hitch .. We she’ll see.
