Send us Fan Mail In this episode I have the pleasure of interviewing a good friend; Mike Geovany. Mike shares his family's interesting history from Guatemala, more specifically the Pajaltac area. In his unique story you will learn that his great grandfather was abandoned as a child on the door steps of a wealthy family as his biological family considered he would have more resources to live a successful life with them, which later on in life he did. Mike also shares his culture very much so practices arranged marriages as his entire lineage has been arranged to marry someone by the choosing of their mother. We dive deep into how his family made the decision to leave Guatemala and head to the US. Sharing his grandfather was fleeing from political corruption from Guatemalas civil war in the 1970's-80's finding asylum in the states.
