from Michael Lehman: Manic Minute
Happy Mother's Day. . . The mother of one of my co-workers, Robert Scoble, is in the hospital this Mother's Day http://scobleizer.wordpress.com/ and I'd like to add my voice to all of those who've sent prayers to her and her whole family that she get well soon. In the United States today is "Mother's Day" which, according to the National Women's History Project (http://www.nwhp.org/events/moms-day/history-of-moms-day.html) started in 1858, 1872 and 1905 by Anna Jarvis, Julia Ward Howe and Anna Jarvis's daughter lobbied for women's rights and sanitary working conditions. The holiday was made official by the US congress in 1914. My mother died 14 years ago and I miss her. So if you still have your mother tell her thank you for all the love, patience and energy she put into you to get you to where you are today. Thank's Mom! Podcast of the day. . .
