Mild Sunday and Travel Delays
from Wake Up Sydney
Wake Up Sydney brings you the latest weather, traffic and train updates for Sunday, 19 July 2026, as Sydney wakes to a mild and partly cloudy winter morning. Across the city, conditions are looking comfortable for July. The CBD is starting at 12.3°C and heading for a top of 19°C, while Parramatta begins around 11°C before also reaching 19°C. Over by the coast, Bondi is milder at 15.1°C, with a forecast top of 18°C. On the roads, traffic is mostly moving well across Sydney, but drivers are being warned about a serious crash at Wattamolla on Sir Bertram Stevens Drive near Bundeena Drive. The road is closed in both directions, emergency services are on scene, and motorists are urged to avoid the Royal National Park area. For train and metro passengers, major weekend trackwork is affecting several lines. Sydney Metro services are not running between Tallawong and Sydenham, with replacement buses operating only between Tallawong and Chatswood. Buses are also replacing trains on parts of the T1 Western and Richmond Lines between Penrith, Richmond and Granville. Blue Mountains Line services may run up to 45 minutes late, Bathurst services are operating to a changed timetable, and South Coast Line passengers should expect bus replacements between Bomaderry and Wollongong. Listeners are advised to check transport apps before heading out and allow plenty of extra travel time. Stay informed and start your Sunday with Wake Up Sydney.
