Military Vets as Political Candidates: Do They Have an Advantage?

Former enlisted airman Jeremy Teigen -- now a political science professor at Ramapo College in New Jersey -- has done extensive research on military veterans vying for elected political office.  He says that -- despite the high regard most Americans these days have for those who have served -- veteran status does not seem to be a signficant factor in candidates winning or losing elections.  On CBS Eye on Veterans, Jeremy explained to reporter Chas Henry what he learned about veterans and the political process as he researced his book Why Veterans Run.
