I got to spend a lunch break with Ashley Hallenbeck, the Creative Director and Event Planner behind Orlando's most popular market- Milk Mart- The event features over 200 local makers, businesses, artists, pop-ups, and food trucks, a showcase of Orlando's flourishing creative community. Ashley and I spoke about how she got started doing Milk Mart, as well as, how she started selling her art while in college and doing markets. We spoke about the evolution of the Milk Mart Markets and how it has grown in size and done quarterly, 4 times a year. I asked how the selection process goes as well as vendor placement. We spoke about the positives and difficulties of pulling off a successful market and what are some things that she looks for in vendors and tips on helping sell at any market.
