She is a graduate of the BFA Fashion Design program at Parsons School of Design and was awarded the CFDA Future Fashion Graduate, as well as the CFDA+ Award for her thesis collection “Youth” which explores the relationship between Eastern and Western subcultures through the use of technological advances via the re-contextualization of traditional crafts and dress. Mina Tahir is known for being a sustainable brand.In 2021, Mina Tahir was named one of the Debut Talent finalists for the Fashion Trust Arabia Award for her namesake brand.
