Mind Behind the Podcast

from The AJNashville Podcast · host Alex Jimenez

Isn't it great when you connect with someone on such a high level, you feel empowered to share your message or thought process with the world? Welcome to the mind behind the podcast, an episode dedicated to overcoming your history, your trauma, and persevering with a positive mindset. I expose ways I find to grow with forgiveness to my core and choose to rise above from who I once was by putting myself first, raw and real, out there for you to feel inspired by, connecting with me on a higher level of understanding within this message. Take a breath before you respond to give your mind a brief moment to think before reacting first. You don't owe anybody an instant response, no matter how uncomfortable your delayed silence might make them feel during the conversation. If you choose to forgive somebody, make sure it's for you and not because of any outside factors at play. Have they also demonstrated the need to be forgiven when they are asking for redemption? There are moments you can live with knowing you've committed to forgiving someone so much you may never see them again and that is okay. But the time to forgive is a time you alone will have to choose. There are things in this world that you may not be able to give pardon to.Nobody wants to feel broken just because they aren't doing the same things as others around them are doing, especially if it is an unhealthy habit in the first place. Just because you once bonded over trauma or addiction, does not mean you cannot break free and still remain friends with certain people through sobriety. You owe nobody an explanation why you make changes in your life, yet you feel obligated to respond, like "I don't want to" isn't reason enough. IT IS, simply and unrefutably.
