Mind Control

from Live Forever · host Brain Specialist Dan Glaser and Mentalist Brent Smith

This week Dan and Brent talk mind control. From hypnosis to subliminal messages, they discuss the uses and methods that could be, or have been, used to control people. From the Government using hallucinogenic drugs to create super soldiers, to movies, like "They Live", about people being completely oblivious about themselves being controlled. The rabbit hole goes deep or does it only seem that way. You will listen to this episode and you will listen to all episodes as Dan and Brent Live Forever. #MindControl # LiveForever

I'm gonna win these prize, I'm gonna be spry I'm gonna win, I'm gonna win, I'm gonna win Even talk like a sad, sad, sad But say I not like And welcome I'm Brent Welcome to Dan and Brent F-4 F-4 F-4 F-4 F-4 F-4 F-4 F-4 F-4 F-4 F-4 F-4 F-4 F-4 F-4 F-4 F-4 F-4 F-4 F-4 F-4 F-4 F-4 F-4 F-4 F-4 F-4 F-4 F-4 F-4 F-4 It's just always been a little tight on me. It's a little tight right now. It is type of time. I don't care I was going over here and then going home.

That's right. No stops. Yeah, we good anyway. Appreciate it, man.

Appreciate it. Yeah try to drop a little Yeah, no, I'm doing a weight loss competition at work apparently. I'm the only one doing it still. I don't know No, I'm just I'm the sleeper hit Well, no one else weighed in today.

I'm not going into it Then I won because you can't weigh in Monday and expect me to count those results towards me I don't want to be getting extra three days of losing weight. I don't want to be back. He was on vacation Well, you don't you don't so that it entered that week. I thought it was all for fucking four minutes dude You can't pull this shit on is it on the paper?

It is it is but it's on the re-typed paper Not the handwritten numbers, but the physically type numbers. I wonder if I added out of the fact anyways You're fucked because I'm just not gonna eat for the next two days No, what I'm saying is if you don't win Friday, then I win because the extra three days. You don't get extra three days Everybody gets next to three days including me. Yeah, I was thinking I think I should just win because I was the one who weighed in I think you should just stay on top of shit bring you 20 bucks and and and bring it on Monday I am just being five down.

Yeah, you're like eight down. You're like fuck you Yeah, I'm smoking a Boston butt tomorrow. So that's just me dude. Yeah, don't eat any sugar with it You won't get anyway.

That's cool. I'm just gonna put it on a bread with barbecue sauce though, so I've been here do that instead. Yeah on bread though. Well, don't do it on bread.

Yeah, but it's good on bread with mustard Barbecue sauce dude are are simple that you accidentally put together is the outcome all symbol for bread I don't think that's a coincidence at all. I don't think so either either either. Oh little but Already been into the chartreuse folks man my apologies and they go out in I like that better than what's up. You think what happened happened?

Yeah, something happened to you I have a couple of friends that say what's good. You ever have that what's the word homie? No, no, no, what's the word? What's down dot Brown?

Oh? Try the ground. Yeah down with the clown. You know the VP?

Yeah, you know I was at the bank the other day and I can only assume like dude try to look into the past You know old school gangster app maybe listening to like a channel or something Uh hundred percent blasting onyx slam really just like this is my jam. Yeah, like this is what I'm into Yeah, it's not a great song Then I really love push by something pepper. Yeah, it's something bad half Anyways, man, you went to see um went to go see your boy. Yeah, I mean talk about it last week What you know, I don't think you'd gone last time we recorded.

Yeah, we did I just didn't get to it Oh, okay, because it was my birthday and then it was your birthday my birthday then your birthday Right, that's right. Here's the four month. Mm-hmm, and you wait a really long time to celebrate your shit I mean you just went to the casino what last week. Oh, that's because it was already planned to go down there So which I just immediately lost 300 bucks like Within within very short amount of time.

That's the first 15 minutes The casino open 15 minutes later. I was down over a hundred I was like, um, I gotta stop playing and I just gotta go hang out somewhere and not spend all cuz I'm gonna vote It's not coming back to one o'clock at night It is now eight o'clock and I'm out of money If it's if it's not going your way, you do have to step away. Yeah, and I just didn't step away long enough I've a hard time with that. I just wouldn't feel in it.

You gotta be feeling it I know what you mean. I know what you mean. There's there's a streak and you can like you can almost feel the streak. Mm-hmm Sometimes you gotta spend money to get to the streak you do But that's I just I mean you got like a 20% chance of buying into the streak and it's dangerous as fuck Well, that's the problem with being on the gambling boat though, cuz it leaves us Are you gonna do if yeah, yeah, yeah, exactly what was it?

What was it? Why is it about him? No? That's another thing it was some special event that weekend all everything was ten all minimums Oh fuck that man.

So that's why I was blown to cash. I mean, you know ten hands and actually I doubled down on one hand and Because here's the thing I don't mind I mean if I'm on a roulette table especially and I don't mind if you have several different tables That's what I prefer for different level tables. Yeah, that was a thing all the tables for all the minimum $10 minimum $20 minimum Yeah, I mean honestly It's kind of offensive if you played blackjack for less than $20 a hand. I don't really like my hands blackjack Yeah, I mean next to roulette.

It's the best odds in gambling video poker actually has the best odds wrong dude does video video poker Something digital has the best odds you're a liar. No, you don't understand gambling. You do not understand how much research I did for I went on this boat. You're totally wrong.

No, they're trying to trick you no Las Vegas and Reno and Fucking Atlantic City have created websites to trick you and actually that's total bullshit. How would you trust anything digital? I barely trust anything at all. They just can't hold they get caught they lose their license Why would you risk losing your license and having to close down?

Oh, yeah, cuz there's lots of IT guys coming in and combing through your software Anyways, also the second best is the don't pass line on craps betting against the shooter. Okay, that's fair because I don't understand craps I studied a lot and I was gonna play but then again $10 you get scared off. No, I just lost too much money too quick And it's a fast game five dollars. I could last twice long It's the biggest mistake that I made early on with roulette was betting red and black.

No, no That's a huge mistake. I swear they have sensors on the red and black. You want to bet numbers and get lucky. Absolutely I go with the carpet bomb technique.

Yep carpet bomb. You're feeling something personally. I watched I watched the numbers I watched the the flow of Where the numbers are going if it looks like if it's if it looks like it's back and forth like if it goes up to 22 and then jumps to two and then goes from two to 35 I don't even fuck with that table if numbers are flowing in order son of a bitch you jump on that table because you can damn near predict Within like five numbers where that's just gonna hit well. I was I was researching stuff You know just trying to get a little edge and there's this technique where it's basically you bet nine numbers each time huh?

You haven't even drinking so vaguely. I'm pretty sure that basically alright Anyway, you bet nine numbers at a time So if you win on your nine numbers you win what 32 right 36 on that 32 1 32 So you have like three times to lose yes, and nine numbers is a good amount of the board Yes, you're just keep betting on the thirds. I'm working either. No, I don't bet the third either I bet I bet rose though, and I do corners so it's all four numbers Yes, that's like I think in like a nine to one or something But if you spread it out if you got a feeling it's gonna go like 25 and you bet on 25 and then all around 25 and the row And 25 that's what I do if you miss 25 never do Jason.

I only do corners if I'm feeling a number I'll hit hit that's why so annoying that they had ten dollar minimum But I'm okay with that if I'm you can bet single bit bombing you bet single coins But you had a minimum of ten total on the inside see that's annoying to me because What I'll do is I'll do like to on the number of feeling and then four corners like just do one on each Yeah, and what is that two and four six? Yeah, no fuck you 10 I don't want to drop 10 every time I'm feeling something. No, I mean that's when you just drop a little down on the outside Just in case my get lucky in case shit doesn't work Anyways, man, you know casinos do what they mind control. So more money, man, of course Why do you think there aren't any windows and casinos?

Yeah, why do you think the floor is real busy and sounds were playing? We'll never notice up our yeah floors too busy to stare at since we plan to look at so you had to look forward Huh, that's good Anyways, this week obviously the free drinks. Oh, yeah this week. We're doing mind control, but anyway, thanks for Point on my shirt.

Yeah got hamps. I don't know we're big comedy fans One of my favorites my favorite comic skylight name hands down. I Think he thinks anyway, but he's been a slunk lately. I don't think so.

I think he's still doing great Anyway, second favorite comic who I think is a fucking blowtorch right now is the Yvonne I'm telling you man his specials and his albums did not do him justice. Yeah, he's one of the most creative On stage presence. I've ever seen in my life Terry was super cool and reached out to Theo before we saw him. I was like, hey, my boyfriend's Very boyfriend husband's boyfriend boyfriend my husband's birthday You know be cool if we got to got to medium well, she didn't know that he does as long This is not common for somebody that's popular.

I mean he sells out everywhere he goes currently anyway Maybe not you sue he fucking meet in greets after every show and will stay as long as it takes Sounds like Bert. Yeah, it does or I think she lost it that too. Yeah, he was just like hey, you want to hang out? Let's do it Not only that the weirdest thing did I tell you about this well, maybe I told you this but I didn't say it on air yeah Terry never gave him our last names or Told him what we look like totally knew who we were I walked up and he was like hey Dan Terry.

What's up? And I'm like did you and she's like no like dude I mean obviously awesome show thanks, etc But what the fuck how do you know who we are and he was like man, we know stuff I So he gave me the shirt. I'm wearing got ham because he's got the celerias bit about hamsters He gave me a little give me a little pin I guess he handed out three of them like a couple other people that he knew in the area and I was the last one it's like Theo kind of like dressed up like a cherub and it says one of God's boys Which is from one of his bits Probably one of his best about Brad Pitt. Anyway check this out dudes like so you guys are going on the second show, right?

And I'm like yeah, that's right Terry had that in her email. Yeah, we're definitely going to the second show because what the fuck I was we're gonna do in Raleigh. Yeah at 10 o'clock and he was like cool cool Well, I'll change up the material for you. I'm like man what I mean.

It's your show you do what you want. Yeah, and he's like no No, no about 30% Yeah, about a third of the show I'll change the bits around and I'll do a different closer and we're like fucking awesome and he was like and You know, we'll talk more after the second show and you know, maybe sit down and talk for a little bit damn It was cool as fuck come to find out Because I listen to his podcast this past weekend come to find out dude was stressed to the fucking gills because he left his Antipressant medication in LA didn't bring it with him and he was fucking Totally beside himself all weekend long like he talked I mean no disrespect to the dude, but he like fucking broke down on his Monday morning podcast right after that weekend It was just like fucking Emotional as fuck we never would have known a dude was fucking pro the whole time fucking Blowtorch on stage everybody's minds was blown were blown everybody's mind were blown. He's fucking amazing And still took time out to be like cool with us acted like we were important for whatever fucking reason just to be a nice guy It was great Super impressed give me this fucking cool ass hamster shirt. So it was great if you guys have Listen to or watch the obonics on Netflix It's gonna be a couple albums out the shit that isn't in the special is 30 pounds of hamster bones There's a fucking great album.

It's I think it's on iTunes all that bullshit, but yeah, I just recently saw him when he was on This is not happening. Yeah the whole bit about the night He was strawberry or something the darrel strawberry shit. Yeah, that's where he got sober. Yeah.

That's amazing When like he's driving the cab yeah Like he goes to get coke with the cab driver and then the cab driver hook like picks up a hooker And then he's the cab driver's banging a hooker in the back and he's like well Somebody's got to drive the cat so like feels blown out of his mind on coke at like four in the morning He's gotta be on opening Anthony. Maybe it was Jim and they're yeah, they're doing anything at that time. Yeah Jim open Jim no be I don't know You know, okay, nothing. Oh, Jim morning whatever.

That's what they named it to anyways I don't know follow those guys and either same like a little sponge. I'm not in here I know you are no I love Bob man. I'm mostly in love with a great fucking broadcast. It is yeah But it's the same thing I didn't really care about with Howard Stern.

It's just oh Chalk jockey just kind of yeah, but I like the cool interviews and the funny skits this out in the other bit like I got better I got better like and it's the same thing happened above it like once Howard got more serious and stopped doing all the little like Sticky things like yeah, the goofy call and yeah I'm like a whack pack or whatever. Yeah, yeah like retarded Jim and you know one I'd Sarah like when he stopped having the same thing with Bubba like once he like dialed in and like basically it kind of grew up yeah Fantastic fucking show unfortunately, but but had a fallout with 25 cent the black guy on the show today It's not the same dynamic really it's I mean it's still kind of good, but it's not even close. It's a little bit of shame Anyway, it's a little bit of a tangent there whatever Mine control which I thought when you think my control was the first thing you think of I think hypnosis Well the first thing I thought of was this is redundant shit because we already did telekinesis No, I started thinking about it more and there's so many things that fall under my control because I mean basically my control defined could be Any thought that you did not independently think of and if you thought you did you believe it yes, so I mean even sales ads exactly use a form of my control I wanted to get into all that but I mean let's just whichever the first Area of whatever you think of because when I think I'm driving hypnosis, okay I you know you see people pull you know like they do the hypnosis shows and they get up on stage and it's like man Mm-hmm. All right now sleep and snap their fingers and it's like when you wake up You're gonna walk around like a chicken I feel like that stuff is such bullshit But then again a lot of it is bullshit and actually I think we talked about this on the telekinesis show Because I've seen it work.

Yeah, that's the weird thing like it does work for some people I think I got into that people a little bit on that other episode where I'm like like there are people who have quit smoking cigarettes because through hypnosis Oh sure like I don't show is it's a no-sick like actual hypnosis yes It does work and that's what this crazy is a hundred percent real thing because you would think it's bullshit, but it's like no It it works. I mean granted you it's it's a handshake. It's a it's an agreement. Yeah, it's a mental handshake between you and the practitioner saying okay I'm gonna let you do this Because one if you don't make that mental handshake, then you're not susceptible to yeah cuz your own your guards up.

Yeah Which I think is the case with anybody you're either gonna allow things to happen or you're gonna block it and be like I'm not into that shit. Fuck you. Yeah, and just back out of it But if you really want help you'll allow yourself to relax enough to somebody to fucking get in there Have you seen movie get out? Yes I think you want to peel directed it.

No no black guy Yeah, no, I'm saying it's a different black guy It's a horror movie about black guy and a white girl that he's dating they go visit her family fucking amazing It's about I don't even give anything way, but it's related to mind control. Huh, it's pretty dope. I mean it's a really good movie Okay, I'll check it out. Yeah, definitely check it out.

I mean I Know check it out right now No, but yeah, I'm trying to think of some other stuff like if you agreed to be hypnotized could they teach you I guess train you it's It's it's could they implant stuff into your head like like the MK ultra type stuff like if you agreed to be mind-controlled to become an assassin I don't know much about him cauldron Wasn't that weird like a manjarian candidate? Yeah, where they like mind-controlled people to like sleeper cell assassins They don't even know their assassins right that type stuff like if you were open to it could they Somehow I guess they could if you were open enough to it and the person was skilled enough with hypnotism well, yes, and on a non threatening non, you know military level if you just like need help sleeping or you've got like a porn addiction or you've got You know, if you try to quit smoking. Yeah, just tell them my life story It's it's all about suggestion and the suggestion is It's like an implant and so yes I do believe that like the Jason born kind of yeah, sleeper shell shit could happen because Do you ever get songs in your head when you're doing certain things? Yeah?

That's almost like your mind with triggers. Yeah, you know I'm saying that to be triggers with the thought or vice versa, right? Or or even addiction. I mean it really applies to any sort of thing when you're talking about a trigger So like our triggers are memory error.

Yeah, like I'm smoking a long time ago, but if I get the right Temperature and the right whiff of sunscreen and breeze off the ocean all of a sudden you want cigarette? Sweat and sunscreen and cigarettes out on the beach it's something about it like in my trashy hometown in Indiana We had a tiny little beach and first of all in the end is not near the ocean. You didn't have a beach Yeah, like yeah, but we had a lake and a beach. Yes, it's a beach.

It's a spark bitch. You want to show you pictures There's a beach there. Okay. It's a small one, but you know when you're five.

You don't give a shit. Yeah But I mean something about like the coconutty smell of suntan oil and heat and the breeze and the water Fucking it's it's it's a trigger. Yeah, it fucking is like it pops in my head like man Secret sounds pretty good right now. I mean I like the idea of it more than actually smoking but you don't you know what I'm talking about Absolutely.

Yeah, like it's the same idea with hypnosis like I think Through therapy and repetition they plant these things in your mind when you hold a cigarette or when you go to light it Like something triggers a bad memory. Yeah, I don't every time you pick up a cigarette It's like being kicked in the balls and somebody tells you that enough times every time you pick it up You're gonna like huh really you'll actually get a physical reaction It's well, it's it's all mental obviously, but have you ever heard those people that like Talk about like hypnotic suggestion for dating. I mean it's fucking sinister. Don't get me wrong.

So I'll use this fucking clothespin that's sitting here So like the idea is and I've read this in several places So like you're on a date with a girl loved apply you get them to open up a little bit and they talk about something They love like fucking love and like let's say for you. It's puppies and so like every time Either you talk about puppies after that or I start talking about puppies. I just start yeah fucking puppies man And then you can just Then when they click later on like hey you want to go back to my place and I'm Fucking clothes man. It's a hypnotic suggestion like it's like seeds into your own subconscious.

You know I'm saying yeah It's very much the same idea, but that's how all of it works Yeah, it's about all about baby steps to get to the final result like you like you mentioned propaganda and or Advertising I mean advertising is basically propaganda. Yeah, and everybody knows the company instead of for a state or exact country Everybody knows the term branding. Yeah, why is that different than advertising? Not yeah, but what is branding?

Yeah, it's it's it's your hypnotic see basically like yeah, it's what people what triggers when people think of clothes Yes, yes, so like that's why some of the best guerrilla marketing are like fucking stickers or like Yeah, we're noticing it where do people put those though fucking cool places So like if you're a punk band or if you're a local shitty band You're gonna plaster that shit like at the local skate park You're gonna plast it that shit on the walls of the fucking dive bar. You're gonna plaster that shit, you know Well that kind of thing weird places so like like everybody's like oh those people must be fucking cool That's kind of like next thing that I want to talk about was kind of like um Subliminal messaging that's always what it's like like you might not even read the sticker, but it has a special symbol Yes, and then what the difference in branding and advertising branding is when you see people know that's what it is They're not showing it in your face like the three stripe Adidas you can see a shoe with three stripes on it without even thinking you immediately Yeah, it is like it's just it is what you think immediately right your brain has linked a Brand with an image McDonald's gold narcus. I've got a better one. That's local The obeister or the obe stencil you know that is from Charleston.

Yeah, everybody knows what that shit is I would imagine anybody worldwide knows what that shit is. Yeah It's just a stencil that's why I want to get pump stickers with our symbol on telling you dude I'm telling everywhere. This lunatic friend of mine from from school Brad Jones printed out like I would say thousands Maybe as many as 10,000 beastie boys stairs And he had roles and roles of me He did it for like a graphic design class or some shit and he was like he put that shit everywhere I'm like all right dude within weeks. I was talking about these two boys They were everywhere they were inside bathroom stalls They were out at the fucking quarry where people only jump off like illegally they were at stores They were underneath booths, you know, they were fucking I mean up up high where you couldn't even reach them like it was it became like a thing to like Find the crazy.

It's a weirdest spot to put them in and everybody knew about them And it blew their minds that there were like five of us that were putting them up They're like you're the motherfuckers doing that some of it especially like if they work somewhere and they had to take them down Yeah Fuck you So many but it's the same idea like it was hard to find somebody after that like five week period that didn't know about Just because they were everywhere. Yeah, but it wasn't an advertisement. It wasn't selling anything But everybody with a new it was yeah, it's a What about some little messages like? Oral like oral like saying stuff.

I guess a justive speech Man, it wasn't even a bit I speaking of Theo He and it reminded me of you remember Norm McDonald's old subliminal man. Yeah, and All Theo's been on it was he had a guy in some town Name I think it's like Barry or Michael or whatever, but he would repeat everything he said in a lower voice repeat everything And it really started free people out Fucking a stairwell, but it Everybody I think kind of just agrees that there's subliminal shit going on Like did you not have to do that in like an art class or an English class or anything like that? We had a whole section on it in one my class is nice. I think I did where we had to bring in like Advertisements where they were clearly trying to hide like a chicken it.

Yeah, but like that's what your eyes focused on right? But you didn't notice it right away. You know like the whole like camel cigarette thing No, I was joke. Hey, let's cartoon.

Okay. I don't want to explain it Okay But there's a lot of them and they're not hard to find flip through any fashion magazine and Just look for more than a few seconds at any advertisement beer commercials or commercials or beer advertisements or the worst Yeah, dude. I watched a I think it was either Corona or Like a Budweiser truck that I was riding next to on the road And it was like clearly like a chick on her stomach with her like hair flip back But it was all just in like the water and ice behind the bug really yeah I mean, it's obviously should if you look for yeah, well, I mean Disney's gotten in trouble a few times for oh, yeah Stuff like that and their cartoons like yeah, it bothers me a little bit because you don't need to sell Disney no kids Love cartoons. Yeah, but she has out to the adults Yeah, I guess maybe they stuff was just in there and just to be like I don't even know if that's a bliminal mess Yeah, yeah, that's sure it's like Tyler Jordan splicing dicks into family films hypnosis which Think it's kind of funny that was invented by Frank Mesmer.

Did you know that as in mesmerize? No, I did not yeah as in mesmerize And I guess we're really why I wanted to bring this up with the power of suggestion Are you how familiar are you with rest? I know a bit about him. I wanted to do an episode about him because I think we could When he stabbed like nine times and like oh, yeah, that part was really cool.

Anyway, like pretty much like impossible to kill Yeah, but the most impressive part to me and it's not even necessarily mind control as The power of suggestion combined with confidence Can make a fucking Adolf Hiller. Well, yeah, I literally was gonna say his name I mean you can convince people just about anything. I mean you can be fucking David Guresh With you know you can lead a coal with some fucking confidence and you know eye contact. Yeah, I'm pretty sure Um Rasputin fucked up the last you know house, you know house of the Zars just with some fucking eye contact and just you know Being really nice to their six son just like touching them real nice Have you ever taken like lots of lots of slow pets to his head while making eye contact with the mom?

Have you ever taken like a fella? I don't know any of the names other than recipes But have you ever taken like a not a course but like I want to say class was not even class on like a Confidence or something like that. No, I have lots of I have But it was like yeah the time I was the most anxious myself and shake someone's hand like grab their elbow when you shake their hand just Stuff like it feels weird to do but it was people do it to you. You kind of go.

Okay. Yes like the number one thing They tell waitresses to touch people. Yeah, touch one of back. Hey, you know if you want a better tip you have to touch them Yeah Firm handshake like it's the small things that man and women who know those tricks will try them on you Oh, yeah, I worked with a real conniving bitch at one of my past jobs that I could see her doing it to me She would like get like a couple inches closer than she should and touch me while she was lying to me and I'm like bitch I know you're fucking lying.

Yeah, don't try your tricks on me. You fucking jit. I work on me bitch I'm fucking Java can't trick me Yeah, that means a fat too But that's my point like the power suggestion It goes a long way. It's a really long way.

I mean you can start a cult. Yeah, that's how they started man I've been watching this documentary on Netflix Wild country have you heard about that one? Oh, how did I have a 50s this guru dude in Oregon? Like they call it a sex cult.

It's totally not a sex cult It's just a cult with sex. No, I mean, I think it's a little bit I haven't got all the way through it So maybe because the DuPont's brothers are doing it and they might be tricking me into like loving the cult and then you say But this cult moves in to Oregon and it's like it's like hippie ville like but like if hippies got their shit together Like we're gonna love an organization. Yeah an organization like they started building a fucking town Like they had buildings and homes and like work trailers and like they were putting shit together. Yeah and really Other than the fact that they were buying shit up and just kind of acted like they were in a cult like we're doing anything wrong Yeah, like they weren't breaking any laws and actually the the residents were the ones that fired up against them first They like burnt their hotel down or some shit.

Anyway, it wasn't a sex cult But it definitely was a cult it was like one of these gurus in the 60s. It's like Had some unorthodox ideas about therapy and everybody's just like yeah I'm into it and he attracted followers from all over the world He had like 50,000 people show up in this fucking town in Oregon, dude where there was previously 40 residents That's crazy 40 nothing stops you from buying a whole bunch of land and just building shit on it No, and they had the money to do it because they convinced all these people to join you Yeah, I'll say your home come over here bring our money Let's build this area up and we can be together and be happy and free and sounds like a couple other organizations I know of I was gonna say anything yeah, you can do a lot with just telling people this is the way to go Jollstein what I mean anybody. I mean yeah There's a lot of positive things that go along with that too. I mean a good leader has to be charismatic enough to have followers I mean have you ever heard that phrase that a leader with no followers is only taking a walk?

Yeah It's it's a hundred percent true. Yeah, like you need people to believe in you to get anything fucking done So I mean there's a there's definitely positive sides to I mean what you call mind control in a very least definition Just just to get some shit done. I only positive fair room believes him or the majority believe in him What's only positive if they don't do anything malicious with that ability to lead people yeah But what I'm saying is if the majority of people think it's the right thing to do then it becomes the right thing to do Mmm. That's when it gets scary right if everyone thinks it's right to do X.

Yeah, and you're like no I'm not doing X and everyone's like like you fucking nuts. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.

I wonder how many people were just doing what they were So in their life a lot of people probably were like I mean we have decent jobs that we're thankful for Provided decent life for us. I've not fortunately I've not been asked to do anything too shady in a long time at my job I've been asked to do some shady shit a few times and I refused and I got chewed out But never like lost my job. Yeah, you weren't threatened to lose your job or threatened to be murdered if you didn't do right But they said but we also working kind of an interesting industry where there's a high demand But there's a broad scale at the same time. Yeah, like if you were I lost our jobs today There's no guarantee that you could replace that same income someplace else.

No, I mean definitely not Mm-hmm. I mean if you worked out a little bit probably yeah, you're not totally fucked But you don't know so I mean what level of Suggestion for things that you don't necessarily agree with what you do to not get fired. Yeah, exactly You know what I'm saying? How close of a corner would you cut and you think about you know what was life like in the in the fucking 40s, dude Not easy, especially in another country.

They didn't have it as well as we did and we didn't even have that great Yeah, let's read about the journey in the 40s. You got a nice job. You're pretty much set and they're like hey There's a new leader. We're at war Because that's what the boss man says he says we're at war with these you know Jewish people I think a lot of it was like I don't want to get killed and I don't know it was my job history books are written from the perspective of the winners for sure I mean that's kind of what the whole like Nuremberg trials were about right like people think that was the number one defense was I was just doing my job.

Yeah, and everybody's like bullshit. I mean I don't know that that's 100% true Did you ever see that one movie with one of the scars guards? I think it was Peter There was a guy that didn't and it was a Jewish guy. He didn't experiment where he brought people in And they met somebody who's also supposed to be a volunteer, but it wasn't a volunteer.

Yeah, it was actually I think you cow or something It was it yeah, it was one of the universities did it and so they bring these people like hey, okay Yeah, you're in the thing all right well you get behind this wall You can't see them, but they're miked up and then basically every time they get a question wrong hit this button Yeah, the shock and it's gonna give a little time shock But each time it gets harder and harder like eventually like the people were like screaming like oh my god Oh, yeah, this help please stop please and then the instructors like no matter what they say you have to keep going and people would do it And they kept going there was only like a few people are like two people 50 they were like fuck you I'm out yeah Exactly people don't know how they're gonna react unless they're in that situation exactly and that was an experiment that it's not like someone Staining behind you like they might shoot me if I don't continue to press this button exactly they were under no Physical threat they didn't affect their job or their life. They were volunteers and they still kept going just because someone told them to Yes, also like the experiment they did with prisoners and prisoners. Yeah, I know what you're talking about It's like yeah, these are all a group of people yeah, they're the same age no difference between any of them They said some of us prison guards some of us prisoners and like they end up having to stop the experiment because the person people who were Prison guards were like being so violent towards the people who were like it's all experiment's volunteer They're not real prisoners. You're not real prison guard right but you get this mindset that you somehow I don't know power It's a duct if I guess we're in a way.

What's I think there's probably some deep-seated shit there. Yeah, where we're we're communal beings we're tribal beings that They grew up and want to be part of a hole and when you're on the good side It's like well, I'm not gonna stop being on the good side right and you know you want to do a good job You want to do a good job when somebody tells you what to do you're like Right on I'm with you and there's like this weird like okay, this is what we're doing We're shocking this motherfucker no matter how much he screams and you're like I'm just not on that side But yeah, all right fun again. You're getting it. It's fucked up, right?

Yeah. I mean you want to think that you wouldn't do it But you don't know I mean I feel like I know but you feel like you know everybody thinks they know exactly It's kind of like when that's like almost like they can like they're simply gonna me This is what I would do I would kick him the knee at the same time turn to take the gun But you know like people you think of stuff like that exactly if someone ran up on me right now and tried to fight me like you This like instantly going to like some sort of Jason's day than fight scene in my which you would not do you'd freeze and get punch I'd open upper-cut him with my elbow and then hammer fist to the face while they're trying to breathe I'm grabbing the gun snap it out of the wrist maybe break their hand I don't know and then gun in your mouth. What are you gonna do now bitch? No, you're not You're gonna piss yourself barely be able to talk and give him whatever they want yeah, yeah Whatever they want somebody shoves a gun in your face with malice you're gonna be like I say like in New York and stuff like big cities where like people will walk by someone getting mugged and not do anything about it Of course because they're scared if you don't get involved.

It's kind of like a attacker shot for the house It's not my problem exactly it's not a problem It's fucked up. So That's an interesting thing to talk about yeah, how much kind of how much off my control? I mean it's all I think we did how much of my control sphere. Oh, that is a big way to mind control someone I mean there's several different you know there's reward there's fear and punishment a lot of the fear and punishment Yeah, so there's one there's I want to be part of the group You need to belong well, yeah, actually I think they usually when they talk about it do the other round like a banishment Yeah, like you don't want to be the outcast you don't want to be the outcast you want to be one of the crowd Okay, well you want to have to fit in your pre-design to be hurt animals.

Well, yeah to propagate So I mean it's in your DNA to make more people yeah, so what's the number one thing that keeps you from making more people being a fucking outcast? Mm-hmm. It's like hardwired into your fucking DNA like I need to get along with people so that the human race continues So you've got that like I want to be part of the crowd and then there's fear Fear of not being part of the ground fear of losing something Fear of pain fear of the future fear of your job fear of like well, I mean that's what the fucking news lives I was like people who get arrested and commit crimes they didn't do because they're like they're almost talked into it Yeah, you're in a room for hours and you know 12 24 hours. How long have you been somebody?

Yeah? Would you do it? Come on. We know you did it.

We know you did it and finally like fuck maybe I did it I don't what's the number one reason why torture is ineffective because I'll tell you whatever you want to hear yeah I torture somebody long enough. They're gonna tell you anything you want to yeah, whatever whatever make it stop Yep, that was me. I did it. I mean if I dropped a fucking shield on all the exits on in this room and To creep even midgets popped out of the corners and tied you up and I started shocking you and you'd be like yes whatever you want Like I think I think I think we heard about me.

Did you murder my children? Yes, I murdered all of them I don't even have kids and you would admit to murdering my children brutally just throw a little bit of torture Yeah, just a little light torture really yeah, well waterboarding hammer smash and toes. Yeah, I'm down Yeah, that's how Yeah, I don't know I would fucking hate to be tortured. That's all I can think about right now I know I know it does start to occupy your mind man.

That's we got to be like knowing no matter what you say it's gonna continue Yeah, it's horrible feeling I mean that's the ultimate though right? I mean that's that's not even brainwashing. That's just like well I'm just gonna torture and take that but that's that's kind of the point like that's the fear Like you can convince someone of just about anything with fear. Yeah, that's like people in abusive relationships Yep, it's the same thing.

They're using among control. That's why they keep coming back like what do you mean? You're gonna do to be the show ya well Yeah, they're afraid of you know, they're gonna be a little homeless or alone or You know how it might look to their friends and neighbors. Yeah, I mean I don't know about you, but you know, I grew up in a small town a lot of shit was brushed under the carpet because People were afraid of what everyone would think yeah people don't like change no and they don't like having a bad image They don't want bad reputation.

Yeah, there's no one gonna be banished exactly. Yeah, man Ah, we're easy to control. Yeah, absolutely. I mean aside from all of our chemical needs, you know food, water any sort of addiction We might pick up it's and those are the extreme cases You don't think about like fucking advertising and branding like what was that movie was it?

They we put on the glasses and like this little message is not black and white at all like bye. Oh, no, they live they live. Yeah, yeah With a variety of pepper. Yeah.

Yeah. Yeah fucking fantastic Love that movie. Yeah, that's good to me and they did a good job of the reveal to like the kind of like held off on it a little bit And then you remember he had like the magic sunglasses or whatever yeah, and then he finds it another guy and the guys Oh, yeah, no, I know about it like he was in on the whole thing. Yeah, and you're like really why would you know about it?

That's yeah, it's like because you're just but we're on it and we're not saying anything whoa, right? My blood It's true though. I had a I won't even call him a friend He was an acquaintance in college that was doing a performance piece and he locked himself in a box for I want to say three days. It was like 72 hours.

I think isolation make you crazy. Yeah And I mean I was there when when he when when they let him out and all he had was like a p-jug and like water yeah And just darkness like he didn't have like anything like super comfy or anything He was just in like a fucking time box in the middle of the art building So like people are like walking around him all day and shit He couldn't you know communicate out people couldn't communicate in he had like an emergency cell phone I think yeah, like if yeah, like if you choked on a splinter or something and I asked him after I gave him a fucking cheeseburger I was like so Are you crazy now? Well was it? He's like what was what I'm like what got to you while you're in there?

He was like After I got over everything And was able to quiet my brain enough to actually think he's like the thing that kept coming back Was branding he was like just the bombardment of logos He was like as my own thoughts started to quiet down my programming from everything around me started Was still up and running like it was almost like PTSD from the world around him Oh, yeah, like you know Nike and Arby's and fucking came art whatever just like he's like I couldn't get out of my head He's just like brands brands brands brands like in his fucking head all day long He's like I slept as much as I could but you know you're sitting in the dark for that long You don't even know if you're asleep or not yeah, but he's like I like the second day was All fucking programming like what other people were trying to tell me to do I'm like fuck Yeah, imagine going to prison get running like solitary for 90 90 days. Thank you Well, I mean I can I think I'll get used to it man. I think I'll get used like no communication with anyone Yeah, I kind of like myself though. Oh, no, man.

I think that's enough to make it would eventually make you crazy 90 days. Yeah, I bet you couldn't do a week. I do week. I don't know man.

Terry's got next week. We'll see Yeah, I guess I couldn't dull my senses with something or other. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I mean just just nothing If it's just like a bad toilet and a sink. I feel like I'd start like trying to make songs on the toilet Pupy-pupy-pip slash yeah, you get the fucking the drums going on the you'll get out your life Listen, listen, let's actually rock star.

I thought of the best song ever and then you do it You're like fuck it stupid man. What are you talking about? Just like when you start telling somebody a dream. Yeah, and then I had the greatest dream I was I was a cheeseburger I didn't have cheese actually I was a taco.

Oh, isn't that horrible? Yeah, you can live like another life in your sleep You try to explain it to somebody and as it's fading you're like I I read something and I don't know if it was a made-up story or if it was like a news story But like this guy was in a coma for like a couple months and woke up like freaking out and he's like Where's my wife? Oh, and he was like in high school. I was like apparently when he was in a coma He dreamt all the way up to he was like 30 years old Wow and had like a whole family kids and all night He was like convinced like that was his actual life.

Dude went deep. I wonder. I guess that can happen Well, yeah, he brings pretty powerful man. So do you think there's any chemicals that they can use the brain control mind control?

Oh, right? Floride so is the fluoride. I don't know maybe it's a big mind control thing and then that's why I'm so dope I don't drink out of the tent. So is the Hitler was trying to use fluoride to my turn fluoride.

I've heard the cam trail thing Yeah, like aluminum dust or something. Yeah, the aluminum dust. I don't know how much of that I believe I don't leave the control crap at all For one it'd be way easier to do it. Some of the videos are if they're not totally staged I'm sure they are it just there's so much easier ways to do it than it is I seem fucking strange Because if you're dropping out of a plane, it's not coming straight down.

It's you don't know where the ones are so yeah, you don't know Where the ones gonna take it that I had my you know, it's just sprayed out there. Yeah, you're right though You couldn't like measure the changes in anyone because you don't know where it's landing I guess you could study weather patterns and kind of predict it, but Yeah, maybe that's why everybody in the northeast is such a dick ad Yeah, I mean you could get cities like that be a lot easier to do it just on the first world Here's this where the airflow goes. I mean you'd be for the most part on the eastern side of the country Anyway, like just pull up the weather channel. You can see that shit everything kind of flows northeast Everything nice and calm after hurricane cuz sucks all that stuff away.

Maybe That's a good point I think it's my control for the better. Well, and you got to think about when like they think about you know, I've done people in Kentucky are You got to do I'm just kidding. I don't know when Kentucky. No, I actually like Kentucky You guys think it's fucking Missouri.

You gotta worry about They try to sit there with one of my two weeks. I'm not gonna miss it. Yeah Missouri's rough It's literally sounds like misery. It does.

I don't want to go there and it is Well, the US government did try to use LSD for my control. Did they? Yeah, is that what I'm K. I'll throw some out the agent ownership I think I can't remember I get them all mixed up, but that's the one where um, what's the the dude from agent or is was good on, right?

Who's got to do the bombing? Huh? Unabomber. Oh, I don't know the same, but you know, no, yeah, take a no Kaczynski.

Yeah. Yeah, I thought he was the Oklahoma City Bonner Yeah, that's what I'm not supposedly he was like a professor, right? Something like that but he according to him like they had done All these LSD experiments with the military trying to learn mind control and that's how he went crazy Yeah, did you ever see a man who's there against? Yeah?

Yeah, yeah, that shit was real. Yeah, exactly Yeah, there's they've definitely done a lot of experiments with you know, psychotropic drugs I mean, that's why I'm thinking if they had something that was a mind control agent I don't think I think they would just have it and it would just be like now. We just mind control everyone What about like studying penithol? Mm-hmm true serum What about like legit brainwashing?

Yeah, like Like the like the now shit. I mean under Was he the last emperor or was he after last emperor in China now where? he tried using like Sort of like mystic terms to convince people to be like a good member of the state instead of like thinking on their own Like he used to work I don't I mean obviously I don't know how to read Chinese But there was a word that literally meant like wash the brain But it was like based on like old daoist like cleansing your thoughts. Yeah, yeah I'm your thoughts I can see that I mean that's a lot of religions are very It wasn't a religion.

It was just like well, it's it's a governor before Hitler. It's a government using religion. Yeah, which or was it before? Don't most Was he after before I could not tell you I mean no more about that most cults are most governments use a religion in a way Yes, really I mean oh everybody does yeah, that's why I've avoided most social media and politics I don't go social media man.

I try to just avoid it. I pay attention to it minimally I do watch YouTube sometimes and as it just me or the ads on YouTube like gotten ridiculous Where's like five interruptions in like an 11 minute video dude? That's what I'm telling you that's why we need to make sure it clicks for this Show so telling you about how to get eight bucks or whatever for YouTube bread where you also get Google music Yeah, fucking worth it. I get any fucking song or comedy album anything like that's been produced You just list to watch it and oh at any time I can get to play on my phone at any time And I get commercial for YouTube which is fucking fantastic for like I don't even remember what it is But it's worth it.

It's like eight to ten bucks, but yeah, do it Advertisements brainwashing right totally is totally is and I try to avoid it as much as I can you try to think on your own But I mean it's like that's like the apple phenomenon like oh like well Everybody can't be an individual together because yeah, then you're just following the herd. Yeah You gotta be you gotta be yourself just enough to fit in man. I say you'd be yourself enough to do what you enjoy Yeah, but you still got to fit in you don't have to I mean if you want to have friends Well, yeah, you have to have shared interests. You don't have to fit in with a whole fucking group of people I feel like we've had this conversation before yeah, but it's all about finding like my new people in It really is man cleaning up a little bit.

I mean that's basically life Yeah, like how much of your weird shit can I tolerate and how much of my weird shit can you tolerate long enough for us to have Relationships, right? I mean that's most of life. Yeah. Yeah, I was like okay a little too weird Could jump roping inside that X yeah, it started snow weird you know watch it all yesterday something on a don't mix So man, what's your father thought?

I mean they're definitely my controlling us right? I mean even if it's not my control. I mean as far as like advertising and branding companies do it Yeah, I'm being controlled right now. Yeah, why'd you buy this particular setup?

Because to record with because other podcasts use that set and you hear him talk about it 100% yeah, but that's not because I wanted to fit in that's because I like the way their podcasts sound and I wanted to You want to fit in I didn't want to sound just like them. I wanted to exert minimal effort and producer decent quality Yeah, which is the American way yes, it's been money work less. Yes. I'll assume this little work Can I do and make the most money?

Super loud right yeah, you need to speak speak spikers spikers. He's speakers on your bikers Anyways, I don't really have much else to go in on my control man. I think we pretty much hit all the buttons Yeah, I mean I really want to just you know propaganda which makes sense. I think it's propaganda is advertising but for a not a constitution a Government probably is basically just Marketing for yeah marketing for political party.

Yeah, yeah Do you think we're more or less susceptible? to someone else controlling our thoughts now then 1900 I say more because it's more common right but what about people in 1900? They're gonna expose to as many things and so they have a more tendency to believe everything like When was television ved like 40s sure I have a little early 50s 40s 50s in that range I mean shit if you saw something in television then you think it was real. I mean it's like the whole Orson well thing world world world world world.

That's why that was such a big deal Fuck everybody that was a big deal because people went to the radio for truth exactly where do you go for truth? Well nowadays you go to the internet right, but there's no truth there, but where do you go for truth me? I honestly think that's why comedy is so popular why because they're the only people who are allowed to tell the truth anymore Well, yeah, that's the same thing that's why it was popular in the 80s. Yeah Because nobody on television is a lot of the truth whether they mean it or not you can't really tell if they are Yeah, let's say you're at a good store and it's the truth.

Well kind of goes against our political stance ways this leaning Yeah, what's your agenda? There's no non-bias anything Right now even comedians are not non-biased no and I try to avoid anybody that gets political anyway Yeah, because the best comedians are usually the ones that are just honest about what they think about listen I got this funny story about the time I ship my pants and airport exactly and it's hilarious. I Think that's why there's such a comedy boom people crave the truth right now I like I like get it. I like storyteller comics more than I did in the 90s.

Yeah, like I used to like the Demetri Martins and the short Yeah, the one line on a good joke writers. Yeah, but I tend to like I want a long 15-minute funny story And those are some of the biggest comments right now. Yeah, I think it's just because people are hungry for the truth Right and nobody knows where to get it stay hungry right stay thirsty Look at us. We're talking branding.

We just did what stay thirsty friends, right? Yeah, we're so programmed It's ridiculous. I want a program everybody to listen to Dan Brandt live forever. Yeah, man.

If you're new to show Thanks for joining us and feel free to go back in this dollar episodes. They're also up there. Yeah, we've been growing a little bit They have been growing a little bit. I don't know how we haven't been putting out on regular schedule.

It's because people are hungry I'm here for the truth. That's what we do. We give up for ever. We give our opinions.

Yeah, man We're that's the nice thing the nice thing is nobody gives a shit about this podcast. Nobody gives us any money We have zero agenda other than to hang out Yeah, so talk about some crazy shit. So what you doing next week? Got any ideas?

Oh Anything about the end man, I've been wanting to do alchemy for a long time. Okay, okay Okay, let's take some work on my part, but Terry's gonna be out of town So I could probably get into a little bit more turn led to gold alchemy circles. That's that's like the tip of the iceberg Oh, yeah, transmutation of metal what everybody thinks of when they hear alchemy, but it's actually Basically the beginning of science. Yeah, and a lot of it's been lost because people thought it was witchcraft and shit gunpowder Steel all from it.

Okay. Anyways, we'll get it next week. I'm right I
