Alongside the researchers we have the incredible Trevor Salomon, Alzheimer’s Society Volunteer & Vice-Chairperson of the European Dementia Carers Working Group as our permanent co-host and anchor.In this show Trevor is joined by Dr Rasa Mikelytė from University of Kent and NIHR ARC Kent, Surrey & Sussex to interview Dr Chris Poyner.Chris works at the University of Birmingham and NIHR ARC West Midlands. He is leading on a project exploring life in rural areas of the West Midlands with dementia. Exploring how people living in these communities access healthcare and get a diagnosis, and how they are supported following diagnosis, and what could be done better, and how this differs from those living in urban areas.Dem Comm is a 3 year programme funded by the National Institute of Health and Care Research and the Alzheimer's Society.
