Tragically, suicide is the second leading cause of death for people ages 10-34. With all that has been done over many decades, suicide rates have increased 35% since 1999. About 78% of all people who die by suicide are male. We are losing too many young people. Think about all life has to offer those between 10-34 years of age, but they don't feel that way and they don't see or experience a hopeful future. In our world today, we must also grasp that lesbian, gay, and bisexual youth are four times more likely to attempt suicide than straight youth.
