What this episode covers
Lessons in life, travel and caregiving: Help is always there, but sometimes your eyes have to be wide open to see it. When I was in my mid-twenties, an unexpected break up left me bereft and reevaluating my life choices. I moved home with my parents and commuted into work in New York City everyday for a year to save money and decide what was next. At night I’d sift through travel packets from local embassies and Lonely Planet guidebooks I checked out of the library fantasizing about foreign lands. Listen to hear the whole story.
