Mini Flex Takes on the Great American Beer Festival

from Craft Beer Republic

Flex, Greg, and Erica are back together! We're recapping our trip to the GABF 2023, talking about the research we did outside the festival, spending time at the zoo, the breweries that are craft again, and the garbage pumpkin beers.-Erica and Greg are drinking Delusional, a juicy IPA from Worthy Brewing in Bend, OR. Flex is sipping on Cromulent, a hazy from Transient Artisan Ales. -Greg, Erica, and even Mini-Flex talk about the trip to Denver for the Great American Beer Festival. We cover a lot of the beers we tried, the quality (and lack thereof) of many attending breweries, the difference in crowds from day to day, and selling pretzels to a bunch of drunks! We also mention our research at the Pints for Prostates Rare Beer Tasting, where we enjoyed some extremely unique beers and hung out with some old friends. -We also discuss the Brewery of the Year winners at the Great American Beer Festival, including Balter Beerworks, Third Eye Brewing, Liquid Gravity Brewing, Wibby Brewing, Saint Arnold, Allagash Brewing, and Shred Beer Co. Check out the GABF website for the full list of winners.-In the News Flight, a new beer collaboration in New Jersey called "Sign the Bill, Phil" aims to encourage the governor to sign a bill that would ease restrictions on breweries. And Virginia is now allowing craft breweries to self-distribute through the Virginia Beer Distribution Company.-Tilray's acquisition of several brands from Anheuser-Busch is complete. Who's excited to drink a craft Shocktop? And 10 Barrel Brewing isn't hiding how they feel. Finally, a California judge upholds Stone's trademark verdict against Molson Coors.-Erica: Instagram: @Neck_Nosh_llcNeckNosh.com-Flex:Instagram: @flex_me_a_beer-Craft Beer Republic: www.CraftBeerRepublic.com Instagram: @CraftBeerRepublicFacebook: CraftBeerRepublicPodTwitter: CraftBeerRepub(805) 538-2337
