Welcome to Raw Impressions Monday's Music Mini episode. Hello! Hello! Ooh, sunshine!

Maypole! Mayday! It's spring now. This is it.

I mowed the lawn yesterday. Yeah, you did. Yeah. Pulled out that Honda mower.

I even figured out what was wrong with it. I mean, I don't know why I over- Are you impressed? Wow. Are you impressed?

I figured out what was wrong with it and why it wouldn't start and I corrected it. I went to Home Depot, Balls Depot and I got it. I got the filter for that lawn mower. Yeah.

I was like, I'm not even good at it. Yeah, because I knew these things, these combustion engines, they need air. I've learned this. Finally, 56 years on the planet.

Anyway. No, I want to be extremely proud of you and I was afraid that would be like maybe some people would find that insulting or something, but they don't really understand. You're very self-admittedly not good at a lot of those things. Kind of home stuff.

Right? What you say? That's true. Stand up for me.

I really wanted to celebrate it because I was very impressed. Let's celebrate it. Let's put up a fucking pole. Let's erect a pole for spring time and me.

Okay. Mowing the lawn and figuring out the lawn. Mowing the lawn and figuring it out. Doing my part to welcome the change in seasons.

I was deeply relieved. Honestly, our grass was OOC and that means out of control for my mom if she ever catches up to the podcast because she'll be like, what? OOC, I don't know what that means. Mom, that means out of control.

The grass was truly, I didn't think the lawn mower was going to get through it. I was worried for her. It had been raining for almost two solid weeks and the grass was growing at the same time and there's a big rule, it's a basic law. You cannot mow your grass in the rain.

You should end. I don't think it's a good idea. Probably. And don't mow wet grass.

Yeah. No, the conditions have got to be correct for a good mowing. True. The grass blades need to be just like air-kissed and dry, the sun glinting on them.

It's important for all the conditions to be correct. You're right. The wind not blowing too hard. It wasn't procrastination keeping me away from that lawn mower.

No. I was chomping at the bit to get out there and do my part. It was sad that day. Sad that day.

Mm-hmm. Sad days are the time when dads go out and start rummaging around and fixing things. I even put a length, a 16 foot length of orange plastic cord into our electric weed wacker. I saw you using that thing.

It's called Ego. The Ego Wacker. They really know their audience. Yeah.

Some smart advertising. Mm-hmm. Hands on deck. Hands on the wacker.

What does it say? Ego. Yeah. Who me?

Yeah. I was really proud of you. I saw you tidying up the long grass around our orb. What is it?

Our fire pit. That's also from Home Depot. Yeah. Didn't we get that at Home Depot?

Yeah. I thought we got that fire pit during the pandemic and I burned absolutely everything I could find in it, including our deck. Until the neighbors complained from the noxious fumes floating from our yard. Yeah.

Yeah. We, again, it was a learning curve and, you know, we're getting there, but I was so proud of you for figuring out the long work. So, commencing in five notes. Oh, here we go.

Oh, just right to it. Hold on. Hold on. It's all a matter.

I'm so fired. Infatuation. But true desire. The thrill of discovery.

Divine intervention. Cruel cruel change. And the pain of rejection. When you walk away.

Think of all the joy we share. If you decide you need me. I'll be wondering if I care. Not there to sue your soul.

Friend to tender friend. I think our love is coming to an end. In Persuader. Congratulations.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

Thank you. Congratulations. You share her heart. You bought her soul.

In Princess' confusion. Again. Saying good by so much fun. When you walk away.

Feel freedom in your heart. That's joy in letting go. You're free to find love apart. Because when I lose control.

I need a kind. A giving friend. I think our love is coming to an end. I know our love is coming to an end.

I forgot to mention this is Bubble and Scrape Part 2. Oops. Well, not as good to just preface the mini music Mondays, which is sort of random banter. I forgot.

Let's bring it on people. We sprung it. We sprung that one. Surprise.

This is Bubble and Scrape Part 2. Yeah. Okay. Because Bubble and Scrape has been around for 30 years.

The album was released 30 years ago. And we're just talking about anniversaries this month. Because they're happening. Yeah.

Well, they're always happening. True. Which to me makes it anniversaries really not that exciting necessarily. Celebrate a baby.

It's the 27th anniversary of the fourth episode of Family Ties. You know what honey? This is why we do this though. I'll tell you.

Celebrate ourselves. Well, because we need things to look forward to humans, life is hard. And so I think that. Teach me about these humans, Adele.

What do they need? They need some little joy. People need things. They need stuff to look forward to.

And I think that helps give us like. Well, the 30th anniversary of Bubble and Scrape gave me nothing to look forward to other than making it like making a concept for many music Monday. Okay. Well, that's something to see.

So I'll break that. Actually for the last two weeks, yeah, we're getting something out of it now. Yeah. You know, other than the crushing ambivalence I feel from that album being 30 years old.

You know, yes. Here we are. It's the 30th anniversary of Bubble and Scrape. That song was called So on Fire.

Again, oft requested probably the most. Possibly the most requested song. Yeah. Yeah.

I think that I've heard. So come and see. Okay. Okay.

Cheavers. Yup. Could I hold on? And should I hold on to you?

Ask, I'll tell the truth. There's nothing I should hide. And if I move too slow and you're bored, I need to know. I'm weak to hide inside.

For this world I don't feel. And if all we have is question, there's no hope to find future. It's something in me. Christ for you.

It feels too real this time. I think I love you. Though I don't know what that means. The girl of my dreams.

All the friend that one day leaves. And could we trust this? When I lied to myself before. And I'd do it all again.

To taste what I've imagined we could be. And look what we've become. This pressure that we feel. And in a world of possibilities.

This may not prove real. And could I give enough. Backed against a wall. Too close to breathe.

A too far to fall. All I've ever wanted. Close at me. And it's sad to feel this resistance.

What once before it felt so free. Let tomorrow be. I can't be so impatient. Pching ball.

Uh no. Tomorrow be. I can't be so impatient. Oh my, I was so into it.

The answer, when there isn't any question that we feel good now and those may have to end. I hope I'm always with you. Honestly, your friend, I think I love you. Pushing every answer when there isn't any question.

I got so into that. That was weird. I thought you were, I was like, he's in a respect. I thought you were something about it.

Something about my proximity to the mic, the volume of my voice in the headphones, I got a little carried away. And did you forget the word? I did it. Just for that second.

But I did it on purpose almost because I have this thing in my mind. I was like, oh, this is good, isn't it, though? You're enjoying this. Too bad you couldn't forget the next line, bud.

Whoops, there it goes. Ego. My ego stepped in. I want my ego, just whack my weeds.

I'll take care of the rest. Okay? Leave me alone. You and your emergency thinking.

I was like, oh, I can tell you the word. I'm not sure if I know what the word is. What's the word that you forgot? Pushing.

Oh, you know what? I thought the word was punching. Punching every answer. No, obviously not.

But now it may be sometimes when you sing it live and the way you project it, it comes off it's sounding punching to me. Punching. But I didn't know the words. You know what I mean?

I was about to say that I've never written a song with a word punching it. That's not true. You were always called punching in the nose. Haha.

Wait, I'm acting like a guy who just knows. Because I'm looking for to punching the nose. I'm just looking for to punching the nose. And you can be my best friend.

Or at least you can pretend that I'm not looking for to punching the nose. Hah! That was zippy quickie. Wow.

Give me that note. Mmh. Meep, meep, meep. See ya, thank you for listening.
