Hello and welcome to mini music Monday. This is a very special and music Monday because I, mini music Monday guy, also known as Tiny Tunes Tuesday Dude. I am going to be singing a song. Four track fans have invited me to do a new one with him.

I have a brand new song. I am extremely excited. Thank you Four Track fans. You're welcome.

Listen, little guy. You are such an honor. Such an honor. Such an honor.

It's going to be great. You know last episode, I did a great job of singing an old classic. A whole time from the Pozo S S. S.

A. Brand new song. Ticket lead. You know from blue.

I. Again thought that I would be the perfect one to sing and he was not wrong. So stay tuned. So good.

Thank you Four Track fans. Music Monday. Begin. Welcome.

There are impressions. Mondays. Music. Mini episode.

I don't know what that's about. I do know what it's about. Mm hmm. I know what it's about.

I had to let Four Track man. I was working on a song with a new song. Mm hmm. Who's slash old?

Oh. That's an old thing. So you're finishing up. It's an idea I've been dragging around for a decade at least.

Ooh. Yes. Trying to put that puppy to bed. It's time to put it to bed and I found that I had to leave that to Four Track man and Mini Music Monday Guy because I could not inhabit it and habit this song in the right way and I knew that I had to finish it.

Mm hmm. But I think that I am using Four Track man and now using Mini Music Monday Guy. Almost because I want to put an emotional distance on it. Mm hmm.

You know I did this. The song is just a little too intense for me to sing in my normal voice and I really need to finish the song and play it away. Okay. I need to let it go.

I'm going to put it away because I've been nursing this thing. I've been picking at this song for years. That's good. That sounds like you're listening to yourself.

So good listening. Good like you know hearing what you need out of the situation and you're like okay I've got to have a little bit of a distance and yet I've also got to finish this. What's the way? Here's the way.

The song is called Haunted House. Okay well happy October. Yeah. Haunted House.

Yeah. Do you want to share anything about it or no? Just. Tune of this October.

I had plans. I had some pretty great plans to write a lot of songs this October. That's true. But I started with this old nugget.

This thing that's been pestering me for a long time. The melody. I wrote it probably like right after I wrote a song called I Will after we got together. Actually you know what?

That's not true. I don't even do my own history of my own things. I even fuck up my own the details of my own. I don't know my own facts.

The song was around. Anyway, it comes from this tuning that I had done for a song called I Will which of course is relevant to you and I and relevant in my history because it was about 12 years ago when these songs started to come together. But this one never came together. Okay.

But I've always been in my head. I always find myself singing. Singing it. I've always the concept is always kind of intriguing because I want this idea of a haunted house.

You know a house being haunted by your own memories. I definitely can relate to that. Yeah. Absolutely.

I'm sure a lot of people can. Song commencing in five notes. This house is haunted by yourself. That's a murky one.

What do you think? I think it maybe because I've heard you playing the melody. Thank you. My voice is still a little scratchy from COVID.

Can you believe it? It's just still just you know. COVID. COVID.

Still can't taste or smell. What? I was saying okay oh and the brain fog but I so I feel like it's so familiar to me. I'm like have I been like dreaming this melody?

Have you played this another time or have you had it on lockdown and you just brought it out like this month? I had it on lockdown although I sing it to myself. I've been singing it to myself randomly for years. Okay because it felt familiar to me like it started and I'm like huh but yeah I feel the complexity in it you know it's and I took the easy way out and let the guys take the lead vocals although I love that idea.

I love that idea. I heard you. I heard you peeking in but I think that that was actually a really cool cool idea to you know use what you have in order to get through it. And because it's Halloween I can do that.

I can't scare you. I can play with it a little bit. I can play with it a little bit. It's kind of like because Halloween is actually it's frightening what it represents and how we dress and how we walk around.

You know we just go to strangers doors and we allude to this. Oh for the best. I didn't you know kids walk around. Hand me candy stranger.

Yeah here I am covered in blood. I dressed like a murder victim. Give me candy. Yeah it's like different.

It's a lot of drama that sort of it's like it's fun. It's like oh it's fun. It's fun. I guess guys hang a corpse from your balcony.

You know what it's it's it's it's I mean Halloween can be really scary actually for little kids. You know I mean if your home is too wild kids are like dude lay off because you know so this morning I went to see the Taylor Swift movie the eras concert which was you guys it was it was great. It was so good go out and see it. But there was previews beforehand and that was my least favorite part.

Everything else was good once Tay came on but the previews one of the previews we brought Izzy with I went with adding Kathy my sisters in law and they played a preview for a new Hunger Games movie and I just want to give all parents a heads up if you're bringing like a younger person to see Taylor that preview really sucks and I actually hate the concept of that movie anyway it's like you're gonna murder people and Izzy was not pleased sitting through that long ass preview and very understandably so even the preview is scary and graphic and intense and she was just like trying to turn her little eyes away and I had to put my hand over her eyes and I'm like yeah this is that was a dumb choice whoever I mean I'm sure it had to do with money someone was like we have the money this is going to be advertised I'm digressing I'm just saying what am I what was the point of this I get here or everyday horror every day horror every horse we were just talking about scary stuff and how you think that Halloween is actually scary for kids it can be it can be I remember about Halloween I mean I enjoyed trick or treating sorry I just want to say enjoy trick or treating growing up but it did also scare me well which night is it the night before Halloween when like in the Midwest in Michigan what did they call it was like cabbage night or like hell night but it was real mayhem that punctuated Halloween like really like the night before it would be like they throw toilet paper all over trees and windows that's right I was right I remember the early 70s Michigan like it was like whoa like that I mean Halloween was like yeah it's all fun we go to houses but the night before like that was like that's when the teenagers were out with baseball bats and toilet paper and spray paint and putting dog shit and setting it on fire on people's porches oh really I mean it must be a remnant of something even Greek is doing in a isn't it camp by me love the movie camp by me love when they put dog shit on his best friends like home I think it is Halloween hmm or the night before Halloween something yeah I remember this cabbage night other people probably cabbage night I've never heard that but now that you're saying it I'd actually completely forgotten about that but you know we had something like that too I remember more when I was in high school being aware of it I don't think I was aware of that when I was younger but in high school it was sort of like some completely arbitrary permission slip to like go and toilet paper someone's house you know or make their life really hellish right like oh yeah you have permission yeah it's like okay we've just decided we're just doing this we're being really destructive on this night and then also like egging houses yes cheese eggs can you do someone egged our house would be like this poor parents fucking bummer it'd be really bummed yeah it'd be like we'd be like complete we'd be talking about that for the next three years I'm really trying to cook the kids came and eat the legend our house and why they do that no we had to clean them off well yeah so it's mid-October we're halfway through and thank you for sharing your haunted house song yep is there anything do you feel like you've like completed something with that do you feel like you're able to kind of move on past it I don't know there's a lot of it's actually it's quite a it's quite an onion of a song there's a lot of layers and there's a lot of it's actually there's all this other instrumentation that could be there I could keep going on that one but I don't really I don't want to show you I don't want to I don't want to keep going on I mean I can remix it a little bit I kind of like how fucked up it sounds I do too I don't really want to make something like that get in there and start trying to add clarity to it I think I just want to let it be it's own little little orange cloud you know some haunted eyeballs little black eyeballs in it you know but I did I just I really wanted to get those lyrics done I wanted it done well on that note this is done you were out at set you were watching today I was home working on my own songs see you guys
