Hello and welcome to mini music, tiny tunes. What's going on? How are you gonna play, what's the plan? Wednesday?

Thursday? Friday? Fucking, we don't know anymore. Up in the air.

This week, Lou playing plays some terrible tunes from the distant past. Lou's best forgotten. Yeah, that's my agenda for this episode was to just play these songs that I've never released. If they just sit on various desktops, I'm like, oh, there's that thing, that's that song I made.

And also, the very first thing that we're gonna hear is a recording that I made probably in 1982. And I was thinking about it because recently I've decided that I'm never going to go outside again. Yeah, outside. Because I got line.

The one time I went outside this year and I was like, oh, this is so great nature, I should do this more often. I got line. And then I was thinking about, well, it's too bad because I used to really like to go outside. And then I thought, oh no, I did that really short repetitive song when I was first writing songs or song fragments.

I did something called, I'm never going to go outside. Huh. And then I thought, wow, I should play that. You should.

Yeah. So that's been a real topic for you. Yeah. Yeah.

And I'm like, well, maybe I decided to stop going outside a long time ago. You're just kind of coming full circle to this idea that, yeah. Oh, that's the thing. Three fibers left.

Yes. Bring back the Vibera. I missed him. Listen, I think.

So there we go. That's so much. And it's on a portable paper quarter. And the batteries were going good just for ships.

Oh, recorded fat recorded slow. So it kind of faster. Oh, that's funny. Giggles.

Let's check this out. You know, just for ships and giggles. Let's hear that one. Slow down.

Oh, yeah. Just for ships and giggles. Just some giggles. So that's even slow.

Um, what's your feeling about the term or the phrase, shits and giggles? It's funny. You ask that and you know what? Can I just say?

Yeah. Thank you for asking me that. Because it felt like it made me feel important. You were like showing, oh, I'm curious about her.

What does she think about something? Who is this person? I share my life with. I see her a lot during the day.

But what does she really think? Yeah. It made me go. I was thinking, how often do we really ask each other?

Well, what do you think about that? You know, when you've maybe if you've been in a relationship with someone for a long time too, you kind of get out of the habit of maintaining curiosity about them. Let's see when you first get together, you ask a lot of little questions. You know, tell me everything.

I want to know what all about you. I want to be living inside your body. Just everything. We do talk about a lot of big things.

Well, what do you think about this and not but it's big stuff. It's not fun stuff. Like, yeah, like, hey, what's your favorite that? What's your favorite cereal?

You know what question I've been on? I don't know what your favorite cereal is. Oh, okay. Anyway, shits and giggles.

What is my favorite cereal? I'll answer that later. I'm not sure in this moment, but oh, that just I wanted to say it before I forgot because my thoughts often, you know, they take off. I wanted to say that all my mind lately, I've been thinking, I want to ask you and how does that make you feel?

Okay. Because I can tell I've been watching some of that show, like little not the clips from couples therapy, I think it's called. Yeah. That woman sits there, you know, she'll say like, how did that make you feel?

I don't watch any TV shows, but I watch that one. It's really compelling. Yeah, it is. I like it.

And I think those people are really brave for putting their shit out there. Yeah, there's some big assholes right there. So openly being jerks. I love it.

I love it. I love watching people. I love them. They're so brave.

I do. I'm brave. Dicks. Anyway, what was the question?

Shits and giggles. Oh, what do I think about shits and giggles? I was just thinking, what a weird expression. Yeah.

That's what I was thinking when it was slowed down. I'm going, I don't know if I've ever really thought about that. What a weird thing for us to say. Shits and giggles.

What do they have to do with each other? Does you laugh so hard? You shake your pants like, what's a wait a minute? What is the expression again?

Well, I heard it. I heard what's the expression again? Shits and giggles. Let's do this.

Let's check out this just for shits and giggles. Yeah, I need to hear another option. Let's let's get a very yoga song. Right.

I'm talking more about this in the meantime. Shits and giggles. Commencing two fibers left. I've got my issues, troubles recur.

I'm bone and tissue. You're all there. You're nothing but don't lie. Don't remember.

You wouldn't let them go last night. You've got your reasons but they don't rhyme. You're nothing but don't lie. And it's no secret.

I was working with somebody with the early 2000s and I was still under contract to a record label so I had some money and I was paying rent for one of my employees actually one of my my co-workers and they would approach me at the end of the month with a lot of anxiety about you know and I was like I will take care of this. I will pay your rent because we were we were all living in Silver Lake and but it became but at the same time this person was also very actively trying to be in other bands and spending more time with and they really like kind of did it publicly you know in front of a bunch of people one night and I ended up throwing them out of my house and then I wrote the song about it and I've never done anything with the song although there's some I find something appealing about the song I kind of like the way it moves but I never wanted to touch it again because it's just too real and then complaining about money or mentioning money in songs is like it's a tough thing to do and to get away with and but you know it's been 20 plus fucking years since that happened and the other day I was watching Instagram and I was watching some people kind of bitch about things and I'm like you know what maybe maybe I should allow myself to bitch once in a while and go hey this happened a long time ago and it was hard it was really hard because it was my career at that point was kind of coming it was the last time that I was subsidized by a label it was the last time that I was given money that I could then use to assemble musicians and to put a project together it was the last time that that had happened and the work that we were doing culminated when I finished the project it was a total failure I got dropped from the label and I was never small commencing in so this is a three ships and giggles ships and giggles ships and giggles ships and giggles well there wasn't like a ship and a gig off I don't want to hurt you but I need to so I will you made me made me hate you so I hurt you now it's done there you are standing by your car here I am garbage can in hand did you see it see it coming there is buzzing and then it hits I've been wanna wanna hurt you but I need to so I did there you are standing by your car here I am garbage can in hand and that one um I don't know although if I could have thrown a garbage can what was that written about I have no idea nonsense it's given nonsense when was that that would be I don't know 97 maybe before that were you in Boston that was Boston I don't know when that's from it just it's just what a funny song it's like a little file or it's a little name it goes garbage can and it just sits in my community there it is again I've always thought about it because it's kind of I found it kind of catchy I was like oh maybe I'll do something with that melody maybe I'll but you know as I was assembling this episode and I'm never going to do anything with any of these ideas you know although never gonna go outside I probably could blow it into a a symphony it's an epic but um you know what you did do with those songs you delivered them here and you place them in this podcast which is really cool because then they are there and they're working their way out into the world however they may be and received and people can listen to them over and over again or not and can I say that it's reminding me of when I uh when I was um in Los Angeles in going to fashion school I was making so many things that I kind of at a time didn't know what to do with all of them because I didn't really necessarily like all of them or they were unfinished or things that were started and stopped for whatever reason right um and so I used to give away a ton just to the Goodwill and uh and silver like oh yeah like just and I just throw them in with my clothes you know and I just thought well okay well if they go for whatever happens who knows you know that's totally what my attitude so that's kind of like what just happened with these songs right it just tossed them into the Goodwill of the salvation army of whatever the world the musical world like here you go perhaps in my own detriment I've done that with my own music since the beginning I put out so much stuff I mean the fact that other than those three things that I just played there's not very many things that I've done they just haven't been released that's interesting I didn't know that like so I'm so much of it hmm yeah no I put too many songs on record so many ways of trying to do songs on this record what's going on and third oh my gosh this episode of the musical component the musical subsidiary of the round precious podcast concludes thank you so much for listening please tune in again yes please tune in again we'll be back we promise Meet shark cryo glow the new med spa inspired mask with under eye cooling iq led technology using high-powered led and deep infrared for visible results in just eight weeks better aging treatment boosts collagen and is clinically tested to reduce fine lines and signs of aging skin clearing provides chemical free acne treatment on and beneath the surface and even visibly titans under eyes in one use developed with dermatologists for radiant results at home learn more at sharkninja.ca
