What Would Jeff Do? Dog Training Tip of the DAy #152 Do you have minimum wage level dog training and owning skills? Make sure you don't get a dog that is above your skill set/pay grade or you will most likely struggle. When getting a minimum wage job (which I am a big fan of) you learn how to work in the workforce, how to take direction, be part of a team, how to interact with the public, how to follow rules and usually your need to come to work clean and neat, you learn how to start and finish a task and so much more, there is huge value in that. Keep in mind it is just a stepping stone though, you eventually will want to move up the workforce ladder and get a job that takes more skill set, but the lesson you learned from your minimum wage job still apply most of the time. Its the same with getting a dog, I am seeing lots of folks getting a dog that they will need to have MBA experience to raise, train and handle, but they still only have minimum wage work skills.
