The Ministry of Planning stated in a statement that “The Minister of Planning, Khaled Battal Al-Najm, received the Tunisian ambassador to Iraq, Reda Zaqedan, and during the meeting, aspects of joint cooperation between the two brotherly countries in various fields were discussed, foremost among which was economic and investment cooperation, and the exchange of experiences.” The Minister of Planning indicated, according to the statement, “Iraq's willingness to cooperate with Tunisia, in a way that strengthens and develops bilateral relations,” indicating that “the future development direction of the Ministry of Planning is to reduce dependence on oil and diversify the sources of the economy, by focusing on investments in the field of Clean energy, indicating that the establishment of sovereign funds, to support the investment
