Ministering To Those In Crisis

This week Warren and Rachel talk with special guest Paula Taylor from the Sulphur Christian Community Coalition in Sulphur, Louisiana. In today’s episode Paula shares from her experience serving a hurting community as we talk about ministering to communities and individuals in crisis. The past few years have seen a number of powerful storms and hurricanes knock out entire communities, and recently Sulphur, Louisiana, has been hit especially hard. This weekend Paula and others in Sulphur had to evacuate from their home for Hurricane Delta while still recovering from damage caused by Hurricane Laura. After Hurricane Laura made landfall on August 27, Paula and SC3 jumped headlong into cleanup and relief, ministering to their community in the midst of crisis. As we talk and think about disaster relief and crisis management, we also consider how lessons learned in those areas can help us encourage, support and love those who may be grieving or struggling in our own lives.For more information on SC3, you can visit sulphurccc.org.
