Minneapolis Catholic School Shooting: A Pro-Life Response (Fr. Stephen Imbarrato) - 8/29/25

8/29/25 - In the wake of the tragic shooting at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis where two children lost their lives and many more were injured during a school Mass, we pause to reflect as Catholics on the sanctity of every human life and the urgent call to build a true culture of life. We'll offer a pro-life response to the heartbreaking violence, reminding us that children are gifts from God entrusted to our care, and their loss wounds not only their families but the entire Body of Christ. As we grieve with the Minneapolis Catholic community, we also seek hope in the Gospel, turning to prayer, Scripture, and the witness of our faith to guide us through sorrow toward action. In the face of senseless tragedy, our call is not to despair, but to deeper our commitment to protect the innocent, defend human dignity from conception to natural death, and work toward a world where peace, compassion, and love prevail.
