The shooter, 23-year-old Robin Westman, was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O'Hara. The incident has shaken the community as it marked the first week of school.2. A double Israeli airstrike on Nasser hospital in Gaza’s Khan Younis killed 20 people, including five journalists from outlets like the Associated Press and Al Jazeera, health workers, and others, per the Hamas-run health ministry and WHO. The first strike killed one person, with a second hitting rescuers and journalists minutes later. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called it a “tragic mishap,” promising a thorough military investigation.3. Heavy recent monsoon rains triggered floods and landslides in northern India and Pakistan, killing over 30 in Jammu and Kashmir and displacing thousands in Punjab. Record rainfall and water releases from Indian dams swelled rivers, flooding low-lying areas. Mass evacuations are underway to protect residents from ongoing dangers.4. Typhoon Kajiki has claimed eight lives—seven in Vietnam and one in Thailand—causing widespread flooding and landslides, authorities reported on August 27. Over 180 households in Thailand and 10,000 homes in Vietnam are affected, with 1.6 million facing power outages. Warnings of further flooding persist as the storm continues to impact the region.5. Cracker Barrel abandoned its new logo design, retaining the classic “Old Timer” logo after customer feedback, the chain announced to FOX Business.
