Minnesota Vikings 2026 NFL Draft Review

The Minnesota Vikings prioritized size and defensive talent during the 2026 NFL Draft, selecting nine new players to bolster their roster. Led by Rob Brzezinski and Kevin O'Connell, the front office strictly followed their internal rankings, resulting in a defense-heavy class that features physically imposing linemen like Caleb Banks. The team focused on acquiring high-level athletes, including several players recognized for their exceptional strength and speed metrics. A significant veteran trade involving Jonathan Greenard also helped the franchise gain valuable draft capital and future salary cap flexibility. Additionally, the team addressed the offensive line by drafting Caleb Tiernan, a versatile player expected to provide essential depth. Overall, the draft strategy emphasized a collaborative approach to building a younger, more powerful foundation for the upcoming season.
